Creating a storyline that is astray from who we are can actually bring us closer. How? Well when you write, you are in charge of where the minds of others will go, how they will feel or react to your words. You can feel close to someone just by the words that they may say in general or even to you directly. Advice or other forms of communication can be translated differently when you are writing and that, I believe, is truly beautiful because we are all different and will most definitely impact us all differently. My mind is constantly running through random thoughts. Often times, if allowed, the thoughts are basically just my own ego being critical and reactive. My true self doesn't even have room to get a word in with my noisy ego criticizing or being reactive towards everything. Writing gives me a chance to both have a conscious effort to silence my ego , to give voice to my true self. At the same time, I can let my mind run free.
