These three guys were close close friends who grew up in a not so nice part of Trenton, New Jersey. Growing up in such a rough place put a toll on how they acted and what they did. The one thing they always did right was school. They all had exceptional grades and had many opportunities to go to very prestige colleges. They showed that if you have enough drive and determination you can do anything you put your mind to. The thing that I found the most interesting in this book was the crazy plot change. The story can go from studying to getting chased by the cops and I can even feel the adrenaline rush. I had many personal connections with the book but one that stood out to me was when he was running from the cops it just made me think of the time I did the same thing. I do feel like it is mainly directed to black men but everyone can learn a solid lesson from the book. I don't think anyone 12 and under should read it based on the words and the actions that went on in this book.
