I must say it was quite fun. Began with the typical powhiri to welcomes this semesters new students followed by a week of team building games. The highlight of the week was the Amazing race in which we were separated into our classes and then separated into small groups. It was just like any other amazing race... Running around town and completing tasks... How different can they be? Although they're basically all the same, they're always really fun to participate in! Knowing my teams luck, we totally misread a clue and ended up running a whole street away from the right spot but in the end we still came 2nd winning a $15 New World Voucher each!!! Listening to the explanations of our assignments and requirements was a huge wake up to reality. Cool. Our first assignment to be completed is our power point on 2 theorists. Oh the joys of science! I surprised myself as to what I could remember from Mr Naidu's Year 12 Level 2 Chemistry class... The build up to this test was actually quite stressful. Closed book tests are always the worst! Having to remember specific words and definitions and calculations. Not so great when you're very forgetful! Despite this, the activities were always fun! For example, our pH Balance activity. The goal was to find whether a substance was basic or alkaline. The job of a rep is to voice the opinions of my fellow classmates to the higher ups in charge alongside the other student representatives and notify the class of upcoming events. Because of my experiences being a student Councillor in intermediate and a prefect in high school, I knew/know the jist of things. So we had our first rep meeting with Elaina and Marie. I'll probably move back to Auckland right after the course and work in our family business and decide what and where I want to study next year.

Where do I see myself heading long term?
