In <em>The Things They Carried </em>Tim reinforces traditional gender roles by incorporating women in the story that are able to understand and gain knowledge from the war. Women do have the ability to go through the same process of understanding war as men do although traditional men think otherwise.&nbsp;</div>]]></description>
