An area about two and a half feet in radius around the bush is all depressed a couple inches. In this depression mass wasting can be seen at miniature level. This erosion was caused throughout nearly two decades of watering the plant with a hose. This results in miniature sandy cliffs.  The layers seen to the left of my finger is very reminiscent of that seen by a landslide. When the plant is watered, the water tends to run over the pot and onto the pot holder. This water has oxidized the iron pot holder to an extensive degree. The oxidization is mostly on the top side of the iron where most of the water lands. The sides of the iron have spotting of oxidization but not nearly as much as the top. These roots have grown underneath the property wall. The roots have grown to such a size that the entirety of the wall has been bent upward and a longitudinal crack is observable. The crack spans to both sides of the wall. The root is a perfect example of mechanical weathering as it has broken apart the cement and rock wall. The roots have been like a wedge on the wall.
