Please remember to use a range of techniques in your writing. Your headline and sell could include alliteration, power of three, metaphor...

If you are writing an argument, you can strengthen it by using emotive language, anecdotes, rhetorical questions, even humour to disarm the reader.

Keep your focus small and thorough, rather than sprawling and shallow. Remember to stick to your plan, to ensure your argument is well structured and flows coherently from one point to another.

A neat and concise conclusion will summarise all of your points. Craft your conclusion, rather than running out of steam and writing something bland. End on a meaningful question; a quotation from a famous person; a thought-provoking personsal anecdote...
