I think students have failed themselves. Students need to learn appropriate ways to handle their stress. The lack of respect usually comes from somewhere outside of the students control. I also think some adults have failed students. Teachers say to come to them for help, but then they act like student's problems are nothing, so this results in violence. Adults sometimes don't give students the help they need to be successful and this can result in failing grades, lack of respect, and violence.

I think the students are responsible for their own failures and also parents are to blame for not telling their kids whats right and wrong. Also, when students are influenced by others to do something bad, some of the students will to it. Also, Some times the students aren't to blame at all. Some days aren't the best sometimes. Teachers load homework on us and we have to test take a lot during the week, Teacher expect us to do all of their work but we have other classes to do homework in as well so It is very stressful and hard.

Students fail themselves. They're the ones who chose to use violence. They're the ones who chose to show respect or not show respect for authority figures. They chose not to study, which causes them to fail. Also, their parents can be to blame. The way that their parents have brought them up has to do with how they act and their actions.

I think it's not just the students fault, but the teachers and the parents. Why should students have respect for authorities if the adults are disrespecting it themselves. For example sometimes adults swear to the police, their parents, and even to their own marriage mates.Showing respect involves knowing respect. Parents just swearing in front of their kids or letting them fend for themselves leaves the kids to know right and wrong from their peers. Letting children learning whats right and wrong leads to destruction. Authority is also at blame because they don't know how to punish or how to deal with this madness. Ex. In East Middle the solution for dealing with troublesome kids is to send them away. That itself is teaching us if we have a problem, don't face it head on, but let someone else deal with the issue. The bible says that in the "end of the system of things" in Romans 1:30 " ... disobedient to parents". And with kids pushing the limits everyday with anything they can think of. "Jesus said that there would be international wars, food shortages, great earthquakes, and widespread disease. Lawlessness would increase. Jesus’ genuine disciples would preach the good news of God’s Kingdom in all the earth. All these things would culminate in “great tribulation” such as had never occurred before. Matthew 24:21". (JW.org) So I believe humans can't rule humans, just read the news paper! Horrible news followed by more horrible news with questions with no clear answer in sight. Nation will rise against nation and kingdom against kingdom.”(Matthew 24:7). “There will be food shortages.”(Matthew 24:7). At 2 Timothy 3:1-5, we read: “In the last days critical times hard to deal with will be here.” In part, Paul said that people would be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, disloyal, having no natural affection, without self control, fierce, lovers of pleasure instead of lovers of God, and Children Being Disobedient To Their Parents. But there's a positive prophecy made that is coming true today “This good news of the kingdom will be preached in all the inhabited earth,” said Jesus Christ in his prophecy about “the conclusion of the system of things.” (Matthew 24:3, 14). Throughout the earth, the good news of the Kingdom—what the Kingdom is, what it will do, and how we can receive its blessings—is being preached in over 230 lands and in more than 400 languages. They come from “all nations and tribes and peoples and tongues.” (Revelation 7:9). Jesus also foretold that true Christians would be “objects of hatred by all people”!—Luke 21:17. So I know this is very cheesy and cliché to say, but I'll keep telling others hope for the future in these stressful times. ( All of my information comes from JW.ORG ) ( The quotes I used are from the article --> http://www.jw.org/en/publications/books/bible-teach/are-we-living-in-the-last-days/ ) Thank You for reading! <3

Who has failed our students? There are many factors that have failed "our student." First its the adults. They created us, and they can not take care nor reign us in anymore. They can not be children and play around with students, acting like its no big deal one minute, then the next be yelling and screaming like they are authority. Many adults these days give students terrible examples of how to live, and they are suffering. Secondly, its the students themselves. They are their own selves. They should learn self regulation, and try to create good morals.

We can't really pin the blame on any one thing. Many different factors are involved, and these factors vary per student. Now, life relies on cause and effect. Sure, the students may have lack of respect, which causes disturbances in the class, but what causes the lack of respect? It varies per student. Lack of discipline could have caused it, or perhaps a serious mental problem could have caused it. Violence is, indubitably, a very serious problem in public school systems, but it's really not all there is to focus on. To all of those individuals who believe that the students have failed themselves, I ask you: What do you think caused the failing of themselves? For example, students in high school, according to studies, have a higher stress rate than that of 1950's mental patients in asylums. Perhaps that's what is causing the failure of themselves? Now, what caused that stress? It's probably a whole new mix of issues. It could be mental health, grades, the existential crisis of graduating, home issues, etcetera and etcetera. Not to mention the highly flawed American educational system (Don't get me wrong, I'm not blaming the teachers. I'm talking about the system that is set in place). In order to try and stop the failing of students, get to the root of the problems-- and then get to the root of those problems. And it's a wide range of problems, as well. So, perhaps individualize this reform. Look at the bigger picture, and then look at the biggest picture.

I believe the system has failed us, teachers who can't teach, students who don't learn. We need to hold our education to a higher level, not just for the students, but everyone. Everything starts with our intelligence, which we mostly get from our education. If teachers are shown that they are worth nothing, does that make them want to teach? If the students are told they are worthless, do they want to learn? Our whole public education system is on a foundation of clay, holding all of the world upon it. It needs to increase, and become nicer and held to a greater standard.
