As far as I know some might've fought with the revolutionaries during this time. But skipping a century or two, during around the 1960's my grandma moved to the states with my grandpa; it was still a stigma to date someone outside your race. Fast forward to the 1990's at this time the US was in a great economic boom and the internet was being applied in almost every household. My dad just so happened to be an adult during this time and joined the military at this point. Once my parents met my mom had a very hard time speaking English. They originated in Germany then presumbably changed our last name to more easily pronounceible at the time. However there has been more people that have immigrated into the US. like my mom who's from Russia and my grandmother from the Phillippines.
