For many it was so important because they felt like a lot has changed too because first of all there was a woman as vice president and many did not have an opportunity to do that but Kamala Harris did that. Many of those use them as an inspiration but not only her also Angelica Gorman because she spoke for all people not only the ones of color. because in general there is in justices and she wants them to change that and actually make a difference when they can.I think it was important for us to know because many of us did not see what a simple poem can do and I hope you could help. many just thought as them as words but to some people it was more than just words if not it felt like and they were the ones talking from the bottom of your heart

I haven't seen them make an actual movie / documentary about this. It was really helpful because they knew that it was true and they knew that the people were actually telling the truth. I think that this was important to learn in our class because many were not informed well or just didn't know at all what was happening and why it was happening. it helped us to learn not only about our culture because again sometimes they were mistaken because of the color of her skin. but it really did a help us learn more about other cultures and how they were treated and why they were treated that way

I think that it was important to learn this in our class because it really did give us a story to rely on and it made us see the true dangers of the Border. It also helps other people so that wouldn't happen to them. I think that it was also important to learn this in class because a lot more students understood what their parents went through and they learned how to Value it more because they could relate it to the book.

The boat  wreck off the coast of San Diego was also another story that help those really see the danger and how some people don't even know what they're getting into and don't know how to swim but they still make the decision to go. many of the people that have died from crossing the border or any type of border to have a better life didn't know specifically what was going on and if they even knew how to get them from one place to another but they took that risk and Soggy they didn't make it. I think that it was important To learn in our class because just like The Devil's Highway it was a story that  people can relate to because maybe their parents went through it and maybe some of their family members did pass away because of that and maybe they understand the feeling of losing someone to that.

I think that for some people it is very close to hard because sometimes they feel like nobody understands but those Latin American poems really touch them and it makes them see the artist in different ways  because they feel like they know part of their life or what they felt. I think that it was important for  us to learn this in class because many did not find their voice but I think that in the poems they really did and they knew that they had to speak up. Many also did not know how to explain what they felt and The poems gave them away how to explain it to other people and create their own thoughts from there.

]]> 2021-06-17 19:36:24 UTC https://padlet.com/sascencio1001_2/19lscyrfbk1zd91t/wish/1612951957 sascencio1001_2 https://padlet.com/sascencio1001_2/19lscyrfbk1zd91t/wish/1612952266 What I know about writing Poetry is that it is very close to the heart and very meaningful because sometimes there's people that keep the traditions and those old traditions help them think in a different way than everybody else does. for example, some of the poems that we looked at really didn't and going to coach her and people can relate to that because maybe they felt the same way that Pedro or Jose Marti felt .  It helped them see things in a different way and maybe even explain the things that they felt .  I think that it was important to learn this in class because they also helped us Write Our Own Story and share that with everybody else.Not only did people relate but they let their own story be told and help other people relate to them.

I think that you made us feel comfortable in a way that no other teacher did and you let us be free and just tell you our ideas and our thoughts. I also like this course because it always hit the most important topics that I wanted to learn about. I don't think that I want to change anything from the class but If   you could add more issues that are currently going on around that time it really does help because it makes his understand the situation more. but aside from that there is nothing else that I would change.
