KEY INFO: The five-year period revealed a declining tendency in the fisheries production in the Davao Region. Production decreased steadily from 59,498.46 metric tons in 2015 to 56,670.56 metric tons in 2017, and then it steepened during the last two years from that level (2018-2019). About 49.8% of the regional production from the 2019 total fisheries output was attributed to the aquaculture subsector. Municipal fisheries made up 45.0 percent of the total, with inland and marine fisheries each contributing 44.50 and 0.50 percent. The production from commercial fisheries, on the other hand, contributed the least, at 5.2%.
