The characters are the kitten, the pit bull, the dogs original owner, and the new owners at the end. In the beginning of the film the kitten is scared of the dog, its skittish and very wary of the pit bull. And the dog is desperate for attention and love from its owner however he is also aggressive from the dog fights he is put in. Throughout the film they slowly get more used to each other and begin to play with a bottle cap. The dog gets taken to a dog fight and is injured, he tries to go close to the cat and gets scratched. Then the cat goes into his kennel and eventually they escape together, and get new owners. The dog and cat grow closer and become friends and because of that the cat grows less skittish and the dog gets less aggressive.

The majority of this story takes place in the back of this apartment/building of the dogs owner, the kitten is living in this cardboard box, and the dog has his kennel. Its dark and dingy, lots of trash and not taken care of. Showing the type of environment and situation both of the animal are in, their neglected and the dog is actively getting abused, and put in dog fights. When they escape onto the street everything seems brighter even though they may have no home, they have each other and are safer now. And when they get taken in by their new owners, the scenery becomes even brighter and more colorful, relaying how much safer and happier the two animals feel.

conflict introduction- the kitten approaches the pit bull. At first the pitbull reacts aggressively.

Rising Action- The kitten and pitbull slowly create a bond and start playing together.

Climax- The pitbulls owner becomes angry and violent towards the animals.

Falling Action- The pit bull protects the kitten from getting hurt. That showed a new level of trust and friendship.

Resolution- The pitbull breaks free from the chain. Then the kitten and pitbull run away together.
