1. Shiftlock
It is VERY important to use shiftlock when you are having a sword fight, or any other type of fight. It helps you focus without having to hold down right click, and also your character follows the direction of your camera, without the character lagging behind.

2. Jumping
Jumping isn't just good for moving around, It's also good for confusing opponents when engaging in PvP. Just when your enemy is about to lunge their sword at you, you jump out of the way, and strike them in the back! Jumping is also more effective then just charging in head-on, because you might get stabbed without realizing it.

3. Backing away
It can be a little annoying when you go head-first into a battle, and they suddenly predict your move, dodge it, and they strike you. Well, you can trip them up by pretending to go in for a blow, but then back up while they do a lunge. This gives you time to attack them, while their weapon is still loading.
