A short rant about school

School has been really getting on my nerves lately because I've got so much homework to do and no time to do it, like, dude, you've been in school before. Don't you know that I have other homework from other teachers, in other subjects I have motivation to do well in? Like, they talk about wanting us to be healthy and that "the students come first" or whatever, but I am averaging 3.8 hours of sleep nightly. Do you think that's putting the student first? No, that's putting the school first. Ugh, it bugs the shit out of me.

Beginner musicians...

Okay, so I've been playing flute for 6 years, and let me just say how little patience I have for beginner musicians, or those who are terrible, or those who don't practice, or those who think they're so freaking amazing, or any combination thereof. Like, dude, you're no good now, but you will get better. What people like this need to do is to just go lock themselves in a room all alone with their materials and just practice for hours and hours on end. It also pisses me off when they get frustrated enough to physically hurt someone because they can't look at a piece for the first time and automatically know how to play it absolutely pristine with perfect tone and pitch and stuff because no, unless you practice your sight reading vigorously. Practice, practice, practice. You suck, so get better. For me, please.

Journey to my Guardian Angel - Entry 1

So, I've decided that I think I will begin trying to connect with my guardian angel. The concept of having your own personal guardian angel is something that I've considered for a while, but it's not until recently that I've actually started thinking about making attempts to contact and connect with them.

I'm really excited to finally move. I get to leave on Friday the 22nd at either 8 am or noon (that hasn't been decided yet,) and then spend a week with my grandparents before the rest of the family moves out to Michigan. I was invited to this freshman orientation thing at my new high school that I've gotta go to, which is on the 29th, and it'll be nice to be a single child for a couple of days.
