I definitely think that these themes are still relevant today. Are definitely comes in many forms and everyone has something different that inspires them, but there are also many trials that artists can overcome, such as finding work, income and burnout.

I think illustrators today can learn to find their own style and their own identity in artwork. A lot of the artists in this documentary have different stories, different upbringings, a variety of reasons as to how they become artists. I think this film can help guide artists to express themselves and express their identity.

I think from this piece I learned to keep pursuing different ideas, many of the artists made a variety of work, they faced a variety of trials too, but they persevered, they’re quite prolific and they produced a wide variety of work. Overall I’ve learned to expand my techniques and my portfolio, experimenting with different techniques and using my own identity as inspiration.
