I was able to visit a couple of these mining sites while I was there which was neat because of their industrial sized drills and carts used to get into the mining shafts. Copper ore with 5% to over 50% was being mined from copper vain and pockets in the area surrounding Globe which wasn't in the area. Miami Arizona was found in 1907 when it was first developed by the Miami land. Around this time the town was a little more than just the idea on a sheet of paper. Only 800 people were living there by the time of 1910.

Many people mined gold and later they found silver which made them move on from the location. However, a few decades later they found gold there again. I visited this place during the summer and you can buy a train ticket and get on while they talk about the history of the place and there is one ride and sometimes there are gunfights. You can see the original town and visit the many shops there. There use to be a post office there in Goldroad in 1902-1925 and from 1937-1942. This place started becoming an attraction in 2020 meaning no one actually lives there.

In 1875 Mason the owner of the ranch found out about the mine and partnered with Poineer mining district.  Sliver Kings was the richest sliver mines in Arizona.

Henry Wickenburg discovered gold here in 1863. The mine was active again in 1910 to 1917 they got like 2 million dollar off the mine but the most thing taht they had in the mine was gold. The mine also became a town in 1880. gold production for the district through 1959 was about 366,000 ounces. About 250 ounces of this was from placers. At its peak, 5,000 people lived here, but now, the population sits at 500 people. It is the oldest mining town in Arizona with people living there. The name derived from the silver chloride that grew in the mountains. Although the region was mostly abundant with silver, other minerals such as gold, lead, and zinc were discovered there, too. In 1870, a treaty was signed with the Hualapai Indians to allow settlers to mine there after a dispute.
The Chloride Post Office, established in 1873, is one of the oldest post offices in Arizona. The Santa Fe Railroad, built in 1898, runs through Chloride and has been intact since, despite the closure of the station. Around 1944, gold and silver dropped in value and mines were closed, leaving Chloride to almost be a ghost town. Ray was mostly known for the large copper mine there. The growing pit eventually engulfed the town and Ray was moved to the town of Kearney in the late 50's. people don't live there no more.

In 1926, Ruby had approximately 2,000 citizens, who lived in bell farms on the slopes. Today Rubi belongs to a group of families interested in restoring the city and processing the tailings, which has not been met and Ruby's condition is deteriorating.

Schieffelin did find silver however, and he named his first claim the Tombstone. The silver mines were producing increasingly greater riches over time, and as a result the town of Tombstone grew quickly. The town of tombstone population increased up to 1,400 to 10,000. The elevation for tombstone was about 4,540ft to 1,380 meters.

After Eagle Picher, various groups attempted to rework the old mine with varying degrees of success. Today, all that remains of the mineral body is the large pile of tailings sand on the south side of the dam and has had different owners over the years.

In 1926 was when the full mining experienced started. This created more dams to collect more runoff but that failed. So, a 15-mile pipeline was built from Santa Cruz River across the mountains and to Ruby. A 400 ton concentrator was also installed. 1934 until closure in 1940, the mine produced $10,000,000 in lead, zinc, and in copper (which has less value than gold and silver). Henry Wickenburg discovered gold here in 1863. In 1866 the Vulture mine began operations that continued at varying scale until it was closed in 1888.
The mine was active again from 1910 to 1917, during which time it yielded almost 2 million dollars in ore. The mine was reopened again in 1931 and remained active until 1945.
The date at which the mine also became a town is 1880, when the Vulture Pipeline was completed. They lacked water and couldn't hold them and the Vulture mine became the site of Vulture City.

World War II greatly increased the demand for copper, but after the war the demand dramatically decreased, causing the mine to close in 1953. Sullivan one of the workers found sliver king ven and kept it a secret, but soon after went to work in a nearby by ranch. In 1875 Mason the owner of the ranch found out about the mine and partnered with Poineer mining district.  Sliver Kings was the richest sliver mines in Arizona.
