Both Elizabeth Cady Stanton and the National Organization for Women fought/fight for the betterment of women and the future. While Elizabeth Cady Stanton focused more on women’s right to vote, to have any job for which they are qualified, and individual rights; the NOW focuses on reproductive rights, violence against women, economic justice, constitutional equality, LGBTQIA+ rights, and racial justice. But because Elizabeth Cady Stanton fought for women’s equality back in the 1800’s is why people and organizations like the NOW have accomplished so much over the past century.
