They have dealt with issues like sexual assault and power-based personal violence against women, in which they did marchs and vigils against. They also took part in the largest march for the Equal Rights Amendment to be ratified in 1978, with more than 100,000 people participating in the march. While Elizabeth Cady Stanton focused more on women’s right to vote, to have any job for which they are qualified, and individual rights; the NOW focuses on reproductive rights, violence against women, economic justice, constitutional equality, LGBTQIA+ rights, and racial justice.
