The book tells about a young boy named Standish Treadwell who undergoes bullying from classmates, and teachers. He lives with his grandfather in a poor neighborhood called section seven, where brutality is common. Slavery, Starvation, and Killing goes on in the neighborhood. When a boy named Hector and his parents arrive at the house next to them. The two families work together to get out of the brutality. There is a wall outside of their house that they are not aloud to go over. One day Hector goes over the wall, comes back and does not say anything until a couple days later the Motherland( the rich people with a Queen) arrests Hector and his family. The motherland is planning to be the first ones to land on the moon. Hector, his family, and Standish, and his grandfather know its a hoax, so Standish figures out a plan to prove the people that the Motherland is lying.
