But with free flow comes the duty for the future generations to have the idea of the fading of the crafts and its necessity to be preserved, as with a need to preserve the crafts comes the need to strengthen cultural values because every craft has its own identity and heritage making an opportunity for the future.

As for saying intervening in crafts practices for designers might be a 50-50 interest ration because both the development in craft and design one revolves around skills established centuries ago, one expressing authenticity of the denoted skills while the other that is design focuses on the problem solving skills. Unlike design which involves development through research, concept generation, prototyping that is working with a systematic understanding about the wants of people, crafts on the hand does not follow any systematic approach, it just talks about the need for the growth of the craft and its generation.

Talking about the current state of craft in our country, it does not have an impressive approach towards the people because of the trend that is the western approach captures the mind of the people, this leads to the struggling and the bare minimum sustainability of the craft in the present scenario.

For example brands like Fabindia and Anokhi they tend to set a belief amongst the generation of today that the trend followed today can have an existence with craft also, making people believe the co-relation between craft along with its heritage value and design, making a link between the people as well as the craftspeople through preserving and producing aesthetical handcrafted products.
