What do you enjoy doing to relieve stress?

• Find a curvy backroad and go for a thrilling drive.

What led you to work in this field?

• Watching the movie “War Games”, inspired me to learn internet hacking back when the World Wide Web was the next new thing.

• I wake before sunrise to watch a Liverpool match. I try my best to avoid waking my girlfriend or our cats with cheers or necessary taunting towards the Manchester United players. Afterwards I proceed to take a stroll down to my favorite café and then, under the guise of local patronage, further enable my caffeine dependency. Once fully cognizant, I participate in various activities in Golden Gate park. We attempt to walk our cats: a foolish endeavor likely resulting in their steadfast efforts to ascend a heavily-boughed tree, only to demand our feeble attempts to retrieve them in front of the onlooking dog owners. My favourite evening activity is to go down to Ocean Beach at Sunset or see a film at the Kabuki Theater in Japantown.

• Football (not the American subvariant). I can’t say the S-word .

What is your favorite game or sport to watch or play?  

• NFL: WhoDat Nation!  New Orleans Saints – my family is from New Orleans, and I grew up a Saints fan (even when they're losing...horribly).

• NBA: LAKE SHOW! – I grew up in LA during the Showtime Era and will forever rock the Purple & Gold.  It doesn't get any better than Kareem & Magic, Kobe & Shaq, Kobe & Gasol, and of course King James 🙂

• WNBA: LA Sparks - The franchise began with LA hometown favorite, Lisa Leslie, so I've been a fan since day one.

• MLB: LA Dodgers - When the Dodgers moved from Brooklyn to Los Angeles in the 1950s, my grandparents were new transplants from Louisiana and attended the early games that were played in the LA Coliseum! I grew up going to Dodger games with my grandpa and cousins, and one of my first cousins played on the Dodgers' minor league team. My spouse is a die-hard Dodger fan and we've even made trips to Arizona to watch Spring Training.

• NCAA: I'll always root for my Anteaters and Bruins, but I look forward to attending (and rooting for) Cardinal games! 🙂

2024 is Year of the Wood Dragon which symbolizes strength, vitality, and new beginnings with confidence and courage.

• This is so difficult. If I was an expert for something practical it would either be something like being a medical doctor or futuristic like a scientist to develop space colonies. However, for fun, it would be to play the piano.

If you had one free hour each day, how would you use it?

• I enjoy traveling in the Metaverse with a VR headset from time to time exploring virtual worlds and meeting people. I find the people I meet in VR are some of the most grounded and interesting people.

What do you enjoy doing to relieve stress?

• I enjoy going for a walk or gardening to relieve stress.

What led you to work in this field?

• I’ve seen many businesses, and these are all fake and centered around money. Making imaginary money for others is an illusion. I feel like the higher education sector is here for a reason. Advancing knowledge and being part of the growth for kids becoming their own versions of mature adults is positive for the entire world. Having a purpose is important.
