Her mother died when Ella was fifteen, and her father sent her off to finishing school. Sophie also figures out that the BFG catches dreams and puts them in small children's homes by blowing them through a trumpet. Sophie and the BFG hear about a plan to go eat children in England. Sophie is petrified just thinking about the poor little children who will be swallowed by those terrible creatures. Suddenly, Sophie comes up with a wonderful plan. They will give the queen of England a dream telling her about the event. Then, they will make the queen think her dream came true, and alert the rest of England before it's too late.
