This was a crowded place where all Jews would be segregated and placed in this small neighborhood. They basically lied to them saying it was going to be okay, and they were moving them so they wouldn't get hurt. That was an obvious lie. Concentration camps basically are "camps" that Jews are sent to to die. They killed not only adults, but also children. They killed anyone who was Jewish, as they were "subhuman" to them. They were horrified when they saw piles of corpses everywhere. Sure, they knew Germany was hating Jews, but not killing them! They liberated them in shock and horror. Something had to be done. They kept liberating and saving the survivors of concentration camps. This one person though, saved about 1,200 Jews with money. They were his employees, and he cared about their health more than anything else.
