         <title>Giuseppe Garibaldi</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Giuseppe Garibaldi was a soldier and a  commander, he was born in the 1807 in Nizza, but his parents were Genoese.<br>He was also called "l'eroe dei due mondi" that means "Hero of the two worlds" because he fought in South-America and in Europe.<br>He's very famous because he helped to unite Italy when he organized the "Spedizione dei Mille": he gathered over 1000 soldiers and led them to Sicily where they set the south of Italy free form the Borbone's dominion.<br>I think we must be grateful for what he did!<br>He died in 1882 in Sardinia.</div>]]></description>

         <title>Andrea Doria </title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Andrea Doria was born in Oneglia in 1466 from Ceva Doria, Consignore of Oneglia. Both his parents died soon and Andrea was an orphan at the age of seventeen.<br>Andrea became a real soldier of fortune, at the service of the Montefeltro, the Aragonese and Giovanni della Rovere. In 1503 he obtained the command of the Genoese troops who were putting down a revolt in Corsica. Andrea Doria became a sailor later on, when he was over 40.&nbsp; Later he became the captain of the prestigious Genoese fleet. Andrea was also a politician and noble of the Italian Republic. He died in 1560 in Genoa. A turboship was dedicated to him, the famous &nbsp;<br>"L' Andrea Doria" built in Genoa, which shipwrecked on July 26th, 1956.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Cristopher Colombus was born in 1451&nbsp; in Genoa.<br>He became a sailor at a young age and he was a really self-confident man.<br>His idea was that if he circumnavigated the earth he could find Asia.<br>Unfortunately he couldn't know that between Asia and Europe there was another continent.<br>In 1492 he left for his first journey, he thought he had arrived in Asia, but he actually had discovered America.<br><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Fabrizio De André was an important song writer who was on born on18th February 1940 in Genoa.&nbsp;<br>In his life, Fabrizio De André Wrote a lot of songs but one that made him famous was "the song of Marinella" written  in 1964 and performed by Mina in 1967. It's about a girl named Marinella who is believed to have really existed.<br>In 1962 De André married Enrica Rignon, and he had a son: Cristiano, and in 1989 he married Dori Ghezzi and<br>he had a daughter: Luisa Vittoria.<br>In 1984 De André wrote  also an album called “Creuza de mä”, which was the idiom of the ancient Genoese republic, and a song called “Don Raffae”, in 1990, about a boss and his guard.<br>Fabrizio De André died on 11th January 1999 Milan.</div>]]></description>
