The strategic move into an unproven wrestling market is being facilitated through tactically employing Chinese athletes with a vision of creating domestic superstars as well as introducing Chinese audiences to major international talents. Such a move is well-worn path as evidenced by the success of NBA in China as well as the (English) Premier League.  In terms of the internationalization of the WWE, this initiative follows a long-standing model of international events and tours as well as the international expansion of the WWE Network service.

Conflict between rival groups of fans and the failure of a third-party contractor to effectively police the interior of the stadium have been creating problems during home matches.  The Metropolitan Police have refused to police matches because of ineffective radio communications while the relocation of fans has led to disagreements about both standing up during games and to feelings of being squeezed out by long-term, traditional supporters as the football club becomes ever-more commercial.
