This will not be easy to do, but to tax the youth of today for carbon that the previous generations released, is far from fair. Understandably, carbon taxation would have stifled the early economic growth of Singapore, and deferring it is a good model. But deferring it is not abolishing it. Having benefited from the carbon tax-free economic growth, it is time for such beneficiaries to pay their fair share.

Greater support for sandwich classes could be given for those who don't just stay with children but also elderly staying together, as they face unique challenges that other families would not. Furthermore, support based household unit may not be fair for such households. Support such as CDC voucher may not be that useful for such families as well - savings from utilities and conservancy may not create significant impact and such middle-income sandwich class residents may not feel the benefits

It is currently more advantageous to hold five million dollar properties over one 5 million dollar property, by a factor of 2-3. This encourages hoarding of law valued properties, exacerbating the housing crush the youth of today is facing. If the basis for property tax is AV, which is then based on rental income, why not tax it in the method, ie. aggregated taxation.
