This book really shines a light on what it is like to have autism. Teachers could read this to their students in a classroom where there is a child with autism so the students may get a feel for what it is like to be someone with that disorder. I feel as though all teacher should read this book themselves to get a sense of knowledge on what it is like to have a disorder shut as autism, I think the author did a great job trying to make everyone feel as though they were living in his shoes.

This book was told from the point of view of someone with autism!
This book is based off of 58 questions that Higashida and many others who are dealing with autism and are commonly asked this question. Most of the sections in the book are either memories that Higashida had, and shares or are parabolic stories that relate to the themes that are discussed throughout the book. The book ends with a short story “I’m Right Here,”- this is the story that he wrote that tries to get others to understand how painful it is when someone with autism cannot express their feelings to the people they love.
