He was the ruler of the Aztec Empire. When the Europeans came to Mexico he was friendly to them and thought maybe if he gave them some gold they would just move on. His plan did not work instead the Europeans became more greedy. Later on, the Europeans captured Moctezuma, he, later on, became friends with the Europeans but his people did not like that. He finally got to go back to his people but they were mad at him, they believed that he got them into this mess! His own people started to through rocks, spears, anything they could find at him. He later on became a priest at the age of 25 in 1778. He taught at Colegio de San Nicolas Obispo in Moreli from 1779 to 1792. He taught Latin grammar, and arts. At 39 he became the dean Colegio de San Nicolas Obispo, but unfortunately was removed from the school because he was changing teaching methods. Ater his brother died in 1802 he became a priest. He  began to work to help the poor become more self-sufficient and less dependent on the Spanish who ruled them. In 1808 he led an underground resistance to the Spanish. The slave trade in Cuba was abolished October 7, 1886 by the Spanish Royal Decree. Enslaved people who worked the sugracane fields in Cuba worked in horrible conditions. The things that these enslaved people had to live through are really hard to write about.
