Our group chose to do a beach cleanup because we all like to go to the beach and it is more enjoyable when it is clean. During the cleanup, we got a lot done while still enjoying our time. Another thing that I enjoyed about this project was that it didn't really feel like an assignment, and just like another day-to-day activity. This made it feel very fast but also productive. There weren't many things stopping us from what we wanted to do, so it was fairly easy. From this experience, I learned that it is not hard to make a change in the community and if you want to you will. Also, I learned that everything in life is not going to be done for you and you have to take the responsibility and get it done. Another reason why we were encouraged to keep going was when there were people who thanked us and acknowledged what we were doing. I know many people want to make a change and contribute to the community they just don't know how. Finally, from this activity, I am now more understanding and appreciative of all the things that people in the community do that they don't have to.

Cleaning up the beach with my friends was surprisingly enjoyable. We all love going there, but we noticed it was getting a bit polluted. So, we decided to take action and do a cleanup. It was pretty cool because while we were picking up trash, people passing by thanked us for helping out. It felt really good to make a difference, and it made our beach time even more fun knowing we were making it cleaner for everyone. Surprisingly, the cleanup went by super quickly because we were having fun and working together. We didn't face many obstacles other than getting there, so it felt pretty easy to make a positive change. This experience taught me that making a difference in our community isn't as hard as it seems. If you really want to help, you can always find a way to do it.

When my friends and I decided to clean up the Beach, it was because we all wanted to do something to help the environment. Going to the beach that day, we were excited. We knew there was a lot of trash to pick up. But despite the challenges, like the overwhelming amount of litter. We stuck together and worked as a team. We all went around picking up trash and encouraged each other when we felt tired. This experience showed us the importance of working together and not giving up, even when things get tough. We also realized that even though we were just a small group, our actions could make a difference. I feel grateful for the chance to do something positive for our community and motivated to keep working to protect our planet. So overall it was a really fun and great experience

Our beach clean up activity relates to a book we read called "The Boy Who Harnessed The Wind". Both activty and book show how one person's actions can make a big difference when faced with tough situations. Just like how William brings electricity and water to his village, picking up trash on the beach helps solve the problem of pollution caused by litter.

After reading the book animal farm and participating in this beach cleanup, I can see a connection between the two. We know from the book that none of the animals liked the farm owner, Jones, he always ordered them around and the animals had no freedom. When the animals realized that they were able to keep the farm stable and self-sufficient they saw that Jones was not a benefit to the farm in any way. This was because he consumed without producing, which means that he was just another mouth to feed. This connects to the beach cleanup because as a society we are always producing more and more plastics and waste, than we are cleaning up or recycling.

We decided as a group to clean our community and we wanted to start with Huntington Beach. We wanted to clean the beach because it’s a place where we all enjoying coming to have fun and hang out , but it’s less enjoyable and nice if the place is trashed with garbage. A obstacle we faced was that there were ton of micro pieces where we couldn’t pick because of it size and quantity but we tried our best and clean as much as we could. Honestly I really enjoyed the process of it and it was really fun to do with friends. I learned that trash that is not thrown away is getting put back in our community and we can easily parent it by throwing away trash instead of littering

Our plan is to go to the beach and pick up all of the trash that we can. We can use gloves and shovels to pick the trash up and then put it into the trash bags. We served the community by cleaning up after others and making the beach as nice as we could. We didn't receive direct help from anybody, but we hope that when people saw what we were doing they would want to do the same.

There are many factors that contribute to why there is so much waste on the beach, but that is beyond our control. Something else that we can control is what we do about it, you can help by volunteering or even just by picking up a piece of trash that you see. As time goes on I can tell that there is less and less trash scattered around the city.
