Beyoncé Knowles is a knowledge singer, who released a bunch of hits like “Crazy in Love” and “Single Ladies”. Beyoncé started on a girl group named “Destiny’s Child” that ended in 2006. Despite being a singer, she’s also a director, dancer, and producer. Therefore, she basically manages her entire career as an independent woman and that’s why she’s such an inspiration for me.
Beyoncé is known from pop songs. However, she changed her music style in 2016 when her album Lemonade came out with the single “Formation” where her origins were explored. Even a satire video was made entitled “The day Beyoncé turned black”. So now, she writes songs about black women, racism and black’s people rights in America. “She’s important to empowerment and representative”, said an influencer. Although the struggles on her marriage explored on that same album, I consider Beyoncé a strong and succeed woman in all areas.

François Truffaut was a French film director, one of the founders of the movement known as the Nouvelle Vague, and one of the greatest icons in the history of 20th century cinema. In almost 20 years of career as a director, Truffaut has directed 26 films, managing to reconcile great public and critical success in most of them. The main themes of his work were women, passion and childhood. Despite his success, he had a miserable childhood. In addition to film direction, he was also a screenwriter, producer and actor. Along with Jean-Luc Godard, Truffaut was one of the most influential figures in the new French cinema and inspired filmmakers such as Steven Spielberg, Quentin Tarantino, Brian de Palma and Martin Scorsese. In my opinion, his best film was "Les 400 coup", whose script was based on his personal story. I believe that for this reason, he said,"It seems to me that tomorrow's cinema will be even more personal than an autobiographical novel.It will be a confession, or a diary."

Basic biographical information – He´s from Bristol, born about 1974/75 (U.K.). You may not know much about Banksy. However, you probably already saw some of his ‘paint’. Banksy is a pseudonym from the artist. His art is stencil graffiti (also director), and he did some of them in public places. On the other hand, some people extract parts from the wall to get his graffiti to selling them on auction houses. The artist doesn´t sell his works.

Facts (life, work) – Some of his artwork has engages political themes, capitalism. He began his career in 1990s and his artwork´s recognized because his signature style. “Girl with Balloon” was sold for 1 million pounds sterling, nevertheless the artwork self-destructed in the famous auction house Sotheby´s. “Better Out Than In”; “Love is in the Air” are some his graffiti.

Opinions (mine, others) – I think his art make me think, having a reflection. The way he provokes is fantastic. His art is some way is simple. In my opinion, I think they way he produces his revies is brilliant, it´s simple and efficient. Shepard Fairey, a street artist, and graphic designer says to Los Angeles Times: “I think it´s obvious that Banksy is a genius and a vandal, though I look at his vandalism as a conceptual act of defiance and provocation more than something genuinely transgressive.” The curator and critic Francesco Bonami. “Great artists, I believe, invent a language and a grammar. Banksy did not.”, he said to The New York Times.

Banksy is a pseudonym for a British graffiti painter, political activist and film director. His works, which can be found in cities around the world, feature satirical and subversive street art, laden with social and political commentary. I've never had the opportunity to see any of them live, but they're still an inspiration to me.

One of his works that impressed me was when he was in New York and carried out a series of interventions on the city's streets, which were disclosed on a website and ended up attracting the attention of residents and tourists. Even though I wasn't there, I was able to follow everything in real time. I thought his idea of walking around town with a truck full of stuffed animals that cried and screamed, symbolizing animals going to the slaughter, was spectacular.

Nevertheless, the high point of his career was yet to come. In 2018, he reproduced on canvas, his famous mural "Girl with Balloon", which was auctioned off in London for £1 million. However, following the finish, a siren sounded and the work slipped out of its frame, being partially cut into strips by a paper shredder built into the frame.
In the opinion of Sotheby's president of contemporary art, Alex Branczik, Banksy's action "didn't destroy a work of art by tearing it up. In fact, it created it". I thought it was absolutely fantastic, was a tremendous critique of the art industry. Really exciting!

Rita Lee (1947) is a singer and brazilian composer. She is considered one of the greatest representatives of Rock in Brazil. In 1968, she started her career with the group Mutantes and also participated in music Festivals alongside big names, like Gilberto Gil and Caetano Veloso.

In 1970, accompained by the Mutantes, Rita recorded her first solo álbum, “Build Up”. However, in that same year, she was removed from the group, even though the song Ovelha Negra (1976) occupied the first position in the charts, and that is why I started to listen and enjoy her songs.

With her irreverent way, Rita Lee followed the Pop Music career. Her most popular songs were Baila Comigo, Lança Pefume, Caso sério, Banho de Espuma, Cor de Rosa choque, Desculpe o Auê, ... among others. Consequently, these songs marked the life of a generation, including mine.

In 2014, Rita Lee with 67 years decided to not dye her hair red anymore, a hair that marked her image throughout her career. She assumed the white hairs and started writting her autobiography, released in 2016. She said ”my epitaph will be, I was never a good example, but I was a good person”.

Maroon 5 it’s a pop band that originated in Los Angeles in 1994. Originally, they were called Kara’s Flowers. In season the band signed a contract with Reprise Records and and released their first album: The Fourth World. However, the album received negative reviews, causing the band to break up. Nevertheless, in 2001, the band joined again and them signed a contract with Octone Records, released a new album: Songs About Jane. The single Harder to Breathe received good reviews, for that reason, the album arrived in number six in Billboard 200 chart. After that, with our albums e singles, the band reached  top five in Billbord Hot 100 and received Grammy Award for Best New Artist in 2005. In 2007, reached top one in Billboard 200 chart and many other awards in another years. The most heard songs are Moves Like Jagger, Payphone and One More Night. Since their debut in 2002, the band has sold over 10 million albums and over 30.8 million digital singles in the United States, and over 27 million albums worldwide

Born on September 21, 1947, Stephen Edwin King is one of the most famous horror writers of all the time. He graduated from the University of Maine and worked as a teacher until have stability to be a writer full time. In 1973, King's novel Carrie was accepted to be publised and became a huge success in less than a year. Even though the sucess, King wasn't totally confident about the writer career but your family was always encouraging him to write more. Because of this, King wrote several books and published in the 70's and 80's. The books made a lot of noise and many of them became TV adaptations like It, Cujo, Firestarter and the iconic renowned horror thriller The Shining. However, King, his wife and the three sons always had a simple life. Nowadays, Stephen still lives in him's home state, Maine. Over 70 books published, he have all types of critics, but, in the end, the reviews are more positive than negative. “Is not possible to compare Stephen King with any other author in the world”, said The New York Times. In my opinion, with him’s unique writing and creativity to make all this thrilling books, I believe in the NYT’s comment.

GEORGE ROGER WATERS is a British musician, born in the 40’s, and known as one of the founders of a rock band called Pink Floyd.
His journey in the music business started when he was still young, in the United Kingdom, mostly by playing, along with other musicians, psychedelic and progressive rock.
It’s known that Waters became the conceptual leader of the band throughout the years; he wrote several songs, including an entire album, like The Dark Side of the Moon.
Despite being extraordinary in music, Roger Waters is also known by the conflicts that happened with the members, especially with the guitar player and singer David Gilmour. Consequently, he left the band in the 80’s.
Waters has played his song by himself and eventually with other groups until these days, even with 78 years old. Through the shows, he criticizes and provides experiences at the same time.

Robin Rihanna Fenty, better known as Rihanna, was born and raised in Barbados, a Caribbean country. With more than 250.000 records sold worldwide, Rihanna is considered one of the best-selling music artists of all time. In her musical career, she has collaborated with several artists such as Jay-z, Paul McCartney and Shakira and won nine Grammy Awards. In spite of being famous for her songs, like “Umbrella”, “Man down” and “Don’t stop the music”, Rihanna is also a famous fashion designer and businesswoman. In addition, she starred in movies like “Bring it on: all or nothing” and “Battleship”. On the other hand, Rihanna is a black woman and seems to understand how important it is to be representative and give a voice to minorities. Because of this, refused an invitation to sing at the Super Bowl football event in support of player Colin Kaepernick, after his protests against racism in the US at one of the games, in 2018. In my opinion, all these different “faces” of Rihanna just show the complete artist she is.

Jhonny Depp is a famous American actor, musician, film producer and director. He borns in June 9, 1963. He has already been nominee three times to the Oscar and won a Golden Globe.

He is known for playing the “Capiton Jack Sparrow” (character of “Pirates of the Caribbean”) and for its main role in Edward Scissorhands. Anothers famous movies playing for Depp are “Fantastic Beasts”, “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory” and “Alice in Wonderland”.

Despite having over 250 award nominations for his work as an actor, including the Oscars, Golden Globe and Screen Actors Guild, Depp is not considered by many people to be the best actor of his generation. However, he is definitely among the greatest.

Even though Jhonny is known as an actor he is also an excellent musician. In his teens he was part of a band called “Six Gun Method”, nowadays he is guitarist of the band “Hollywood Vampires”, also integrated by Alice Cooper and Joe Perry. They played at the 2015 Rock in Rio.

For me what makes Jhonny Depp the best actor is his ability to give life to different characters without it appearing that he is acting. His performance is always natural and impeccable, being impossible to criticize him as an actor

Terrence Alan Crews or Terry Crews was born on July 30, 1968 in the United States. He is an actor, comedian, presenter and dancer. However, in the past, he was an athlete and played football. Terry has five children (but they aren’t Chris, Tonya and Drew).

I haven’t seen all of his works, nevertheless, I know and like so much some of his works, like the iconic “Everybody hates Chris”. In this TV show, Terry Crews plays Julius, Chris’s father. This program was present in the childhood of many people, because of this the program has been watched until now. Another famous film who Terry Crews plays is “White Chicks”, he plays Latrell and he is so funny, therefore this is a good movie to see with family. The most recent and famous participation of Crews is in “Brooklyn 99”, Terry Crews plays Terry Jeffords, a police officer at the New York police station. In my opinion, this TV series is one of the best comedy programs nowadays.

M Night Shyamalan is a well-known director and screenwriter these days. In spite of being born in India in 1970, he grew up in the state of Philadelphia and studied at New York University. As a child he showed interest in cinema and admired Steven Spielberg. For this reason, he has dedicated himself to this art since his adolescence, producing films in an amateur way. The first film by this director that drew attention was “The Sixth Sense”, from 1999. While watching the film, the spectator is led to the misinterpretation of the entire script.

Because of this film, those who followed created a high expectation about what the director would present to the audience. Despite films as impactful as “Signs” (2002) and “The Village” (2004), not all of his films have been critically acclaimed. “Split” (2016) was not very well accepted by the public. A curiosity about Shyamalan is that he often appears in his films as a very low-key character. Old (2021), his latest work, based on a comic book "Castle of Sand", by Pierre Oscar Lévy and Frederik Peeters, seeks to discuss human nature with a lot of suspense. For this reason, his films are irresistible. Therefore go to the cinema.

The carioca singer became a powerfull woman and she represents more than brazilian music. She representes the freedom of the women’s bodies and every prejudice about this.

Anitta has participated in many importants events, and has won many awards. She sang in the Olympic Games of 2016 here in Brazil with Gilberto Gil and Caetano Veloso (two big names of the brazilian music), nevertheless, unfortunately the brazilian people have a prejudice about her music and her performance yet.

Elizabeth Woolridge Grant as known as Lana del Rey, was born in New York in 1985. She is a singer-songwriter and also a poetess from indie culture, although her songs is full of american pop references (mostly old school). The lyrics of her songs has aspect of sadness, melancholia, glamor and tragic romance. Despite starting her career when she was 18 years old (by composing her own songs), she started perfoming at pubs when she was 21 years old. Here's something interesting, in spite of the name Lana del Rey beeing so reconized, Lizzy Grant was the name of her persona in the beginning. Her videoclips have nostalgic and dark characteristics.

Her first album is "Kill Kill" however "Born to Die" was the one that made her famous arround the world. Her 6th album called "Norman F*cking Rockwell was nominated for two Grammy Awards, "Album of the Year" and "Song of the Year". About this album said Rolling Stone: "a tour of sordid American dreams, going deep cover in all our nation’s most twisted fantasies of glamour and danger".
