During the lesson, my teacher had gone over how to do problems similiar to the ones in the homework, but I did not actively engage in those skills until completing the homework. 
For this class, I took an active approach when using Flipgrid. I had never heard of Flipgrid, and my first introduction to it was through reading about it on the assignment. As a class, we engaged in discussion about the passages we had read, and I was able to reflect on what I took away from each of the passages.

With this in mind, I not only read the passages, but thought about the meaning behind them and what points I wanted to bring up in the discussion.
