In a lot of situations it may be hard to do, but you should try not to blame someone even if it is evident that they're in the wrong.

Communicating is a simple resolve to a lot of arguments and could've prevented many arguments, many arguments are caused due too lack of communication, also nonverbal communication plays a factor in resolving things, your body language could depend on whether you escalate/deescalate the situation.

Express Your Feelings

Being able to express your feelings to someone in a situation can help them to grasp a better view from your perspective of the situation, they can also express themselves so you can then take a second to better view it from how they see things.

Active Listening

Active listening is when you are taking time to actually just listen to someone, while being engaged with what they are saying. It lets people know that you really value what they are saying.
