What I knew about them: She was in the same grade as me, we had classes together. We also had mutual friends.

What we talked about: We started talking about the class we had, and what we had in common. When we should hangout after school, go to the movies or go to the mall.

Theory Connection: Uncertainty reduction theory- Initial interaction and aiming to reduce uncertainty about each other and getting to know things about each other.

What we talked about: What we both like to do in our free time, any hobbies, life, school work, and hanging out more.

Theory Connection: Social penetration theory- we became closer, each time we would hangout. Conversations would begin to get deep, and very detailed. Oversharing was definitely done, and we felt comfortable.

We got to the point where we started hanging outside of school. She would come over to my house to eat dinner, I would do the same. we would go to the mall, just to walk around, grab food. My mom would pick us up, then take her back home. My mom and her mom had a great relationship. Sometimes when our moms were off from work, we would all go out to eat. We got really close.

What we talked about: Relationships, school, and what we wanted in the future and how we would achieve it.

Theory connection: Social penetration theory- our relationship, and conversations got deeper we developed a more intimate relationship. We both trusted each other with anything.

What we talked about: We talked about our future plans. As we continued to grow our friendship, we learned so much about each other. Supported each other, talked about the present and how we can help one another whenever were in need.

Theory Connection: Social penetration theory- we mastered the level of communication, our conversations kept growing and we became more attached to one another, till this day we'll call each other if anything.
