1. Systems Thinking

I think that this was by far one of the most important concepts covered this semester, as it is a more realistic and applicable approach to problem solving and understanding health systems. While it can be very helpful to understand theory and different levels of intervention individually, more often than not it is impossible for something to exist in isolation, and it is therefore important to understand how systems and the relationship between levels of these systems impact health and well-being

2. Revisiting History

I think that taking a look back at some of these diseases and bacteria that have been with us for thousands of years was a helpful reminder that although we've come a long way, there's still a long way to go. Revisiting history also helps us consider how historical time and place affected the spread of certain diseases, and compare that with how we operate today.

For the viral disease awareness campaign poster, I found a website that provided a lot of useful information relating to sexual health and sexual and gender minority well being that I thought was super cool.
