The respiratory system works directly with the circulatory system to provide oxygen to the body. Oxygen taken in from the respiratory system moves into blood vessels that then circulate oxygen-rich blood to tissues and cells.

The Respiratory system allows entry of oxygen into the body and release Carbon Dioxide. The Oxygen travels across lung tissue into blood vessels and the blood carries the oxygen around the body. Thus the Respiratory and Circulatory system work together in gas exchange which is vital in Homeostasis.

The respiratory system supplies oxygen to the circulatory system who is in charge of transporting nutrients to the other parts of the body through the blood. In short, circulatory system can't distribute nutrients without the oxygen from the respiratory system.
