Today we have been learning about variation. To consolidate our learning, we explored the variation of eye colour in year 6.

We plotted our findings in a table and on a bar graph.

Today we explored how light travels in straight lines.

Today’s lesson was a little different. Instead of delivering the lesson and then asking us to explore how light travels, Miss Ryan simply provided us with some equipment and an instruction to ‘prove that light travels in straight lines’ before sitting back and observing.

Miss was impressed with the amount of effort, collaboration and communication she witnessed as she watched from afar. Eventually, the teams figured out a way to prove that light does indeed only travel in straight lines and will not bend when something gets in the way.
