The servants work feverishly to make sure all runs smoothly, and set aside some food to make sure they have some enjoyment of the feast as well. Capulet makes his rounds through groups of guests, joking with them and encouraging all to dance.
From across the room, Romeo sees Juliet, and asks a servingman who she is. The servingman does not know. Romeo is transfixed; Rosaline vanishes from his mind and he declares that he has never been in love until this moment. Moving through the crowd, Tybalt hears and recognizes Romeo’s voice. Realizing that there is a Montague present, Tybalt sends a servant to fetch his rapier.

LADY CAPULET
”What say you? Can you love the gentleman?
This night you shall behold him at our feast.
Read o'er the volume of young Paris' face,
And find delight writ there with beauty's pen.
Examine every married lineament
And see how one another lends content,
And what obscured in this fair volume lies
Find written in the margent of his eyes.
This precious book of love, this unbound lover,
To beautify him only lacks a cover.
The fish lives in the sea, and 'tis much pride
for fair without the fair within to hide.
That book in many's eyes doth share the glory
that in gold clasps locks in the golden story.
So shall you share all that he doth possess
by having him, making yourself no less? “
Here, Lady Capulet instructs Juliet to check out Paris when she's at the Capulet's ball later that evening so she can decide whether or not she likes what she sees. What's interesting about this passage is the way Lady Capulet compares Paris's face to the cover of a book of love poetry that Juliet can "read." When she calls Paris an "unbound" lover, she puns on Paris's status as an unbound, or unmarried, man who "lacks a cover," or a wife, to "bind" him and enrich his beauty

a bit In scene one Rome is shown to be of a 'player' or maybe someone who fall in love easily. Is seems as if he takes anyslight feeling towards someone and makes it his main focus. Although there is no specific quote to target this behaviour into one point or action it is made obvious due to the layout of shaksepear's tragedy, the play is set over the coarse of of one full working week ( 5 days) each day is represented trough An act e.g act one =day one. Knowing this information we can now make the accusation that Romeo has gotten over Rosaline, and moved onto Juliet, in the course of one day, at the end of act one scene one and beginning of act one scene two Romeo expresses his un-resented love for her but then in scene one act five, when he spits Juliet for the firs time he give him self up to her completely. Further more I think, through showing Romeo as this type of character, Shakespeare is trying to express the physical and emotional urge adolescent boys feel to love someone, although it is not a main message Shakespeare portrays in the play I think it acts like a sub plot trough out the coarse of the play.

The opening scene is shown through a sonnet (context) this is because plays at the time were shown in the middle of town full of different types of people, some more educated that others, a sonnet was the perfect way to reach the entire audience so that everyone would understand what was going on before the play started. It also worked as a trailer to promote the play as there was no other way back then.

Romeo "When the devout religion of mine eye maintains such falsehood, then turn tears to fires; And these, who often drowned could never die, transparent heretics, be burnt for liars!"

If my eyes ever lie to me like that, let my tears turn into flames and burn them for being such obvious liars! A woman more beautiful than the one I love? The sun itself has never seen anyone as beautiful since the world began.

Romeo is telling himself that Rosaline is the love of his life, he only has eyes for her and he is saying that if he is to find another women attractive (fall in love with them) his eyes would be lying to him- (personification) also removes reference to letting his tears turn to flames represents the ideas of him never being able to forgive himself if he was to fall for another women, but the dramatic irony is we know that he is going to and this could be the sudden indicator for the tragedy of Romeo and Juliet to begin by the themes of fate and the hamartia in this scene.
