I find it very interesting that the men chained in the cave were doubting the man who escaped. I can completely understand why they don't believe him, all they have ever seen are shadows and they don't trust him because that's all their life. I found it interesting when they were talking about the sentence about cats and tails and how it was meant to make us question ourselves, and that is something I do a lot. I try to look at a sentence and find multiple meanings about it to make sure I know what it is asking. I really liked that they talked about that because it's something that I try to do.

I also found it very interesting when the men imprisioned in the cave didn't believe the man who escaped. It made me think about how people who are used to knowing one thing in their life are often skeptic when they are introduced to another thing that differs from what they originially thought they knew. It also amazes me that there are still examples like this today, as we think we know everything with the technology wwe have today, when they are plenty of things we don't know, along with plenty of people who don't have the same access to technology that we have and know little about the world outside of their community.

I found it very interesting when they were talking about the "No Cat." I know langauge has a lot to do with how we percieve things, but it is crazy to think that something as wildly incorrect as a cat with three tails could make sense to someone who doesn't know what a cat is and has had that phrase told to them. This affected me as a knower because in the future I am going to be more concious of the language I use to describe different things, especially when I am describing something to someone who doesn't know what I am describing. I also found the Inception example interesting. It really shows how peoples realities are altered and percieved different then your own reality.

What I found interesting in the video was the men in the cave chained to the walls. To me, the man in the cave is a great example of how we perceive our reality. It's understandable why the two other men did believe the man who escaped. This video affected me as a knower because I am going to start looking at both sides of a story/situation. The men in the cave showed me that there are two sides to a story by showing the reactions from the men locked in the cave and the man who escaped from the cave.

I find it interesting that Plato, who existed many years ago, still has relevant ideas regarding reality. He learned to question things a very long time ago when people were not very focused on the perception of reality. This affects me personally because I realized we can look deep into humanity's past to find things that are very much relevant today, even though many people think tuff that occurred that long ago is not relevant anymore. Another takeaway would be how everyone thinks of things regarding their own experiences, like a teddy bear being really cuddly and is perceived as nice, however, a real bear is dangerous and should not be cuddled with. As we grow up we learn the reality of things like the bear but as we are young our knowledge is not yet influenced by many things besides our experiences. Makes me wonder if it would be better to be young and unknowing of many dangers of the real world, rather than to be old and cautious of many things.

He mentioned how everyone used to believe things that most people don’t believe anymore (like the earth being flat and the center of the universe). This affects me personally as a knower because things that I am taught and believe to be true and most people believe to be true could be proven wrong in the future and my belief as well as others beliefs could change. Another takeaway from the video is that something that seems normal to you can all of a sudden become super big and different. The example in the video is as a child you may have had a teddy bear and that was what a bear was to you. Then, you see a bear at the zoo and the idea of a bear is so much different than your previous experiences.

The first takeaway from the puzzle is how he referenced how everybody used to accept things that the vast majority don't accept any longer. For example, the belief in the earth being flat. This influences me personally as a knower since things that I am educated and accepts to be valid and the vast majority accept to be genuine could be refuted later on and my conviction too as others convictions could change. This encourages the idea of the sense of reality if anything is really real or true with not the unknown future that could refute anything. A second takeaway is Plato's experiment with the men chained in an underground cave only knowing shadows their whole life then one of them escapes to find that there is more to their reality. Once the escaped men return to tell the other, they do not believe him. I find this intriguing on why they don't believe him. I understand why they don't since their reality is based solely on shadows in their cave; so they lose trust in the man who escaped since he's speaking supposedly lies in their perspective.

I thought that the story about the men in the cave was a really great way to explain how people can have different ideas. This affected me as a knower because I understand more about how people have had differing opinions because they have experienced things differently than I have. I liked how they explained that none of the men in the cave were wrong, they just all had different perspectives, and that is something that I am going to try to do more.
