One day, I went to the park when I was younger. It was a warm day it wasn't hot or cold so it was nice being outside and playing. Birds were chirping it sounded like a song, it was very relaxing. The sky was really pretty the clouds looked like cotton and the sky was a very pretty light blue. I could also hear bees buzzing right past my ear.

Me, My Dad, and my sister had decided one day that we would head to our local park. It had just been a break in the weather and it was nice out so we thought why not. We walked along the park trails saw fisherman, squirrels, and even a fish leaping out of the water. We followed one of the trails that was right next to the river we walked of the trail and headed to the sand bar and started searching for shells, or rocks to skip across the water. After awhile we got into the water and started swimming and splashing each other. It was a wonderful day and a wonderful memory to cherish with my Dad and sister

It doesn't matter if the weather is stormy and cold or if all the plants and trees are all dead and withered away.
On days when I feel lonely or like i'm missing something i'll take a walk through the neighborhood, sit next to the rushing water and just look at my surroundings, maybe draw something I see.
Teenagers really hate going outside. (fact) But it's really underrated, it's good for you especially since you're stressed.
In the end, to me it doesn't matter how things look, it's about the good feeling it fills you with.

As a teenager, I'm always up for going to a park to get out of the house. Getting out of the house and getting a nice breeze and getting under the sun to be warm is always so nice. It's always nice to hang out with friends to make some amazing memories that will never be forgotten. For me personally, I love the get away from my parents and hanging out with some friends. Especially my best friends. We always have something fun and sometimes something dumb planned. It's never a dull moment with my friends out in a park.

Parks and open spaces have been shown to improve water quality, protect groundwater, help with flooding, improve the air we breathe, provide a buffer zone for vegetation, create a habitat for wildlife, and provide a place for kids and families to connect with nature and grow outside. Also, parks give inborn natural, tasteful, and amusement benefits to our cities. They are moreover a source of positive financial benefits. They improve property values, increment civil income, bring homebuyers and specialists, and pull in retirees. And A 30-minute visit to a stop at park can make your heart's well-being, circulation, and lower cholesterol, blood glucose, and blood weight. We need parks we should love our natural land.
http://www.gardinergreenribbon.com/why-parks-are-important/

I love walking the pepole trail and seeing absolutly everything. Its just so awakening, almost like a break from everyting thats going around you. I also like going outside and taking pictures of the outside, and posting them on my instagram( im on a instagram kick). We decided to go super late at night we grabbed the fishing poles and went down to the river bank. When we got down there we started setting up our poles and i couldn't get mine to work right because it was tangled so i was waving it around to get it untangled but on one of the waves I stuck the hook in my dads finger really deep.

(my dad told me this because I was too young I only remember a bit of the story) when I was like 4 or 5 me and my dad are fishing at mill race after school. because I'm like 4 I'm picky and my dad was casting around this log in the water but I tried to do the same but got caught like 3 times. the first 2 times were not bad one jerk and it was free but the third one I had to get my dad to help and he pulled a bit harder and moved the log a bit to get it free, but when it moved there was a little black stick like thing go out of it. this stick thing went towards us decently fast, my dad was shocked to see it was a copper head and told me to back up. when this thing got to where we were my dad picked up a thick stick and told me to stay there, the snake kept getting closer so my dad went to town and after it was on the other side he dropped the stick and said let's leave in a bit. I went to the stick my dad had dropped and tried to hit the snake with it myself and it took like 3 tries then when I got it my dad got me to think that I got to kill it but we never fought anything but I got a cool story out of it.

From when I was younger, I remember the chilling parks and the scorching ones. I remember going to the park with my dad and skipping around in the snow. I would make snow angels and feel the chill snow against my face. We would go to parks in the summer, and I would always complain about the heat, but it was exciting. I was able to spend time with someone I did not always have the chance to. Memories like that are what I think about when going to parks. I hope parks can continue being a part of many people's childhoods. I believe everyone deserves to have memories like that to cherish, even if they seem small at the time.

Access to parks not only provides many health benefits, but also provides access to the local preservation of the environent. Parks can help with depression, and if you're young, the sunlight can prevent blindness in the eyes. Preservation of the environment is very important, and parks are on of the best ways to include this. Going to any place without the, "Bustle of the outside world", is very beneficial, simply for the calming aspect of being in this environment. In all, there are many benefits to having a park available to the people, which is why we need more in Columbus and the surrounding area.

This can have a positive impact on one's mental health and well-being. Secondly, parks can serve as a gathering place for communities, allowing people to come together and socialize. This can help to foster a sense of community and belonging. Additionally, parks can be used for a variety of recreational activities, such as sports or picnics, which can promote physical activity and healthy living. Finally, parks can have an economic impact by attracting visitors and stimulating local businesses.

My favorite park in our community is the people trail. The people trail opens up many opportunities to our community that others do not have. It allows us to go to lots of places without having to drive a car. I know lots of people that use the people trail to go to work or school. I personally as a runner use the people trail everyday either at practice or on my own. If the people trail was not here I would have less places to go on my runs. Altogether I think that if we didn't have the people trail Columbus would not be the same city that it is now. - Elijah Clore

It was a warm breezy day, mid-June. I was going to a close family member's birthday party which was far out in the country. I went with my cousins, my brothers, my parents, and to me all of my favorite people were there, mostly my grandpa Donny.
Their backyard was this huge extended field full of green grass, waving throughout the breeze. and a forest about 10 anchors away. It had this opening that led through to a very tall yelling-green grassed area, with butterflies fluttering over the flowers and looping around my head. I remember we were playing hide and seek and me and my favorite aunt, my brother, and our cousin Landon were going to hide away from our grandpa.
We decided to run into the woods and hide in this bush behind a huge fallen tree branch.
I remember how we all tried so hard not to giggle because our grandpa would shout funny things to try and catch us.
After we were caught we went back and played kickball, most of the other family ate and sat at the picnic table while watching and laughing.
After we all played some funny rounds of kickball, we all hung out and did some game-of-tag. My favorite part was watching the trees and the grass and picking flowers to give to my mom.
The food was delicious, I don't quite remember what we had, but I know chicken was involved.
Hours and hours of playing until we skipped out across the street to the river with our grandpa Donny. We were knee high, walking up the river and looking at all the beautiful scenery around us.
That day was the most precious one I have ever had, it wasn't exactly a park but it was something close I wanted to bring up.
My ordinary park memories are me sliding down a slide halfway and hiding in the middle until someone comes flying down, kicking me down and dragging me with them.
It's all a fuzzy memory.

Public Parks are important because they are tools of equality and democracy. Parks break up otherwise monotone concrete jungles, allowing even those who are made to live in deepest in the grey urban mess a way to experience natural beauty. They are one of the few places where people can exist without needing to pay, where anybody can go and just be. Parks build communities and forge relationships, even if that relationship simply saying hello to the old lady who feeds the ducks, or the boys who play basketball, or the parents and their kids who play on the playground. Parks are places where people gather to protest, where they stand and demand accountability. They put land back into the hands of the public, for use by the public. Public parks allow anybody, regardless of race, gender, class, or ability the same assess to the land on which they live. And that ability, to use land for free, is revolutionary.

In 4th grade, my class took a field trip to Mill Race Park. It was near the end of the year and sweltering outside. I remember not having many friends so I spent most of my time alone. I liked the solitude until my peers started rolling down this hill. I saw how fun it was and wanted to join in. I planted myself atop the huge (in my 4th-grade mind) mound and pushed myself down. After zooming down a few times I noticed a huge scratch on my arm. I didn't notice it until I had stopped rolling because I was distracted by all the fun I was having.
