In my view, social media presents both advantages and disadvantages for the youth. In this day and age, adolescents dedicate a significant portion of their time to the internet, which can impact their lives in various ways.

To begin with, social media enables young individuals to maintain connections with friends and family, even from a distance. It also provides a platform for sharing ideas and uncovering new ventures, such as online classes or employment opportunities. For instance, numerous students utilize sites like YouTube or TikTok to acquire new skills and enhance their understanding.

On the flip side, there are detrimental effects as well. Excessive time spent on social platforms can lead to a decrease in direct interactions and heighten feelings of isolation. Additionally, young people frequently encounter cyberbullying and unrealistic standards of beauty, which can impact their selfworth. Furthermore, social media can be habit-forming, causing students to squander time that could be spent on their academic pursuits.

I feel that it is essential for young individuals to engage with social media in a conscientious manner, ensuring a balance between online and offline experiences. A cknowledging both the dangers and the advantages is crucial. While social media can serve as a powerful resource, it also demands selfcontrol and mindfulness.

The social midias have a strong influencie in the young peoples now. It is a bad, because is addictive. These days, the social midia is very important, but not always in good way.

Many teenagers use social midia every day, all time. They forget to study, they forget to play outside, only look for the phone. This is not good for health. The eyes, the mind, everything become tired.

Other problem is the compare. In social midia, everybody show perfect life, perfect face, perfect body. But this is fake. Young peoples see this and think they are not good, and they feel sad.

In social midia have bullying and hate. Some persons write bad comments, and young peoples dont know how to protect. This can make depression and anxiety.

Of course, social midia can have some good. We can talk with friends, learn something new, see news from world. But the bad part is bigger, because is easy to be addicted.

In my opinion, young peoples need use less social midia. Parents and teachers need to help, because alone is difficult. If we dont control, the future will be more bad for the new generation.

In my opinion, social media has both good and bad sides for young people. These days almost everyone uses apps like Instagram or TikTok, and they are part of our daily routine.

Firstly, social media is great to stay in touch with friends. Even if someone lives far away, we can still talk every day and feel close. Secondly, it can also help with studies. For example, many students watch videos on YouTube or find quick explanations online that make learning easier.

However, there are problems too. On the one hand, a lot of people spend too many hours scrolling, and this makes them waste time instead of doing homework. On the other hand, there is a lot of pressure to look perfect. Many teenagers compare themselves to influencers and start feeling insecure about their own lives.

In the end, I think social media is not totally good or totally bad. Young people should just try to use it in a responsible way. If we find a balance, social media can be fun and useful without becoming a problem.

In my opinion, social media is an important tool for young people, but it needs to be used in a balanced way. Social media can have impacts that can affect a person's life, whether it's expressing their opinion online, watching videos from influencers, sending messages to people, etc. Social media can have both positive and negative impacts on a person.

First (Positive Impacts): Social media has facilitated communication, allowing young people to stay in touch with friends and family, even from a distance. Furthermore, it provides a quick source of information and can help with studies, with videos, lessons, and tips on school subjects.

Second (Negative Impacts): Excessive use of social media can cause distractions and disrupt studies, as well as lead to sleep problems, anxiety, and depression. Another point is that social media can lead to comparisons with other people's lives, which affects self-esteem. There are also risks of exposure to fake news and inappropriate content.

However, it's clear that social media isn't good or bad in itself; it all depends on how a person uses it. When young people learn to balance their online time with other activities, their lives will be more organized and they won't face problems in their personal lives. On the other hand, it's important to be aware of the risks and take care of your mental health, remembering that real life is much more than what appears on the screen. Therefore, it's important to have limits when using social media.

Name: Caroline Carvalho Alonso – 2°B

In my opinion, social media has both positive and negative effects on young people. Nowadays, it is impossible to imagine our daily life without using apps like Instagram, TikTok or WhatsApp. For teenagers, these platforms are part of their identity and social world.

Firstly, social media helps young people to communicate easily. We can stay in touch with friends and family, even if they live far away. Secondly, it gives us access to information and education. For example, many students use YouTube or study pages to learn better and faster.

However, there are also negative aspects. Social media can create anxiety and low self-esteem, because young people compare themselves to influencers who show a “perfect life”. On the other hand, spending too much time online can reduce face-to-face interaction, which is essential for real relationships.

In conclusion, I believe that young people should use social media responsibly. It is important that we understand both the risks and the benefits. Social media can be a useful tool, but it should never control our lives. My advice is simple: enjoy the internet, but don’t forget to live in the real world too.

Social media has become one of the most powerful tools in the lives of teenagers. While some people defend its benefits, others focus on its dangers. Personally, I think it brings both advantages and problems that cannot be ignored.

One important benefit is communication. Young people can connect instantly with friends, even if they live far away. Another positive point is access to information: news, school content, and opportunities are just a click away. For example, many students use YouTube or online platforms to learn and improve their skills.

However, the negative side is also clear. Firstly, the excessive use of social media makes many teenagers spend less time on physical activities and real-life interactions. Secondly, it often creates unrealistic standards of beauty and success. As a result, several young people suffer from anxiety, stress, and a constant feeling of comparison.

After considering both sides, I believe the key is moderation. Social media is not an enemy, but it should not control our lives. Young people should set limits, focus on real experiences, and remember that what is online does not always reflect reality.

Social Media: A Mirror or a Prison for Young People?

It is undeniable that social media has infiltrated every phase of modern life, but nowhere is its impact as profound and complex as in the lives of young people. Social media has become an inseparable part of young people's lives, influencing their behaviors, relationships, and even their dreams. in my opinion, these platforms function like a double-edged sword: they can open doors to incredible opportunities, but they also bring serious risks to mental and social health.

On the other hand, the positive effects of the evolution of social media are indispensable. Firstly, social media has facilitated communication; young people can keep in touch with distant friends and family, as well as meet new people. Secondly, these networks are an incredibly accessible source for quick information and learning. Many students, for example, use videos on YouTube or content on TikTok to understand school subjects or learn new skills, like playing an instrument.

However, the dark side of this excessive use is deeply concerning. The first negative effect is the direct attack on mental health through the culture of comparison. The infinite feed of perfect lives, edited bodies, exotic trips, and constant successes ends up creating an impossible standard to achieve. The second major danger is cyberbullying. The aggression that once existed only in person now follows the victim into their home, which should be a place of peace and security. Cases of young people who suffer from this exposure are, unfortunately, common and can have tragic consequences, leading to severe cases of anxiety and depression.

Given this, I believe the challenge is not to eliminate social media, but to use it consciously. It is essential that parents, schools, and young people themselves learn to set boundaries and to differentiate reality from what is seen on the screen. With digital education and balance, social media can cease to be a threat and become a tool for personal and collective growth.

In my opinion, social media has changed the way young people live, bringing both opportunities and challenges. It is part of modern life, and ignoring it is almost impossible. However, it is important to think carefully about its effects.

Firstly, social media allows young people to express themselves. For example, many teenagers share their art, music, or opinions online and receive support from others. Secondly, it helps them stay informed. News, cultural trends, and global events reach young people quickly through platforms like Twitter or TikTok.

However, there are also negative aspects. One problem is cyberbullying, which has become more common in recent years. Young people may receive offensive comments or be victims of online harassment. On the other hand, too much use of social media can harm physical health. Teenagers often spend hours sitting and looking at screens, which reduces physical activity and can affect sleep.

In conclusion, I believe that young people should enjoy the positive side of social media but also be careful with its dangers. It is important that schools and families guide them to use these tools wisely. A responsible attitude can transform social media into a space of learning, creativity, and connection, instead of stress and harm.
