Then, Penicillin became the staple to treat Anthrax in 1944, but was quickly changed to a different vaccine that is 92% effective in preventing anthrax in the 1950's. After 20 years we developed another vaccine that replaced the old one. It surprised me to know that anthrax was used as a biological weapon against the U.S. in 2001. I think that the longevity of the disease in the environment would be a good question to ask.
