         <title>9 Elements of Digital Citizenship</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>1. Digital Access</p><p>everyone has some ability to use/access technology in society, but the opportunity is not equal to everybody.</p><p>For example, digital access is harder to obtain for those who cannot afford it and there is a push for creating equal access opportunity for all citizens.</p><p>2. Digital Commerce</p><p>this is the buying and selling of goods, using electronics.</p><p>Online shopping is digital commerce.</p><p>3. Digital Communication</p><p>is the exchange of any information with the use of electronic devices.</p><p>For example, texting, emailing, etc. are all forms of digital communication. </p><p>4. Digital Literacy</p><p>is the ability to read and learn anything at any time through the use of technology.</p><p>An example would be reading a newspaper article online.</p><p>5. Digital Etiquette</p><p>the rules/regulations that digital citizens are expected to follow.</p><p>For example, bad digital etiquette would be when someone posts something mean about another person online.</p><p>6. Digital Law</p><p>the proper or ethical use of electronics within a community.</p><p>Digital Law sets boundaries for people using technology and helps protect people from things like viruses and spam when they use a computer.</p><p><span style="font-size: 13px;">7. Digital Rights and Responsibilites</span></p><p><span style="font-size: 13px;">are the freedoms granted to digital citizens.</span></p><p><span style="font-size: 13px;">These rights include constitutional rights, but it is up to the users to determine what is appropriate and what isn't when using technology within a community.</span></p><p><span style="font-size: 13px;">8.  Digital Health and Wellness</span></p><p><span style="font-size: 13px;">addresses physical safety measures to be taken when using technology.</span></p><p><span style="font-size: 13px;">For example, users should be aware of how loud their music is or how bright their screen is to prevent any hearing damage or eye strain.</span></p><p><span style="font-size: 13px;">9. Digital Security </span></p><p>precautions people should take to protect themselves when using technology.</p><p>An example is when writing a paper or doing a project, one should always back up their files to protect his or her work.</p>]]></description>
