         <description><![CDATA[<p>Mexico's most recent constitution was signed and approved on February 5, 1917. Mexico operates under a civil law system with US constitutional law influence. Many of the cleavages in Mexico center around the cultural background of citizens, with about 60% being Mexican and 30% being indigenous. The head of the Mexican executive branch is called the Chief of State, currently, a position occupied by President Andres Manuel. Mexico has a bicameral legislature called the National Congress, split into two houses called the Senate and the Chamber of Deputies. The judicial branch is called the Supreme Court, just as it is in the US. The country's real GDP in 2023 is around 2.873 trillion dollars, and its GDP per capita is about 22,400. Top industries in this country include food and beverages, tobacco, and chemicals. The most recent war in Mexico is the current and ongoing war on drugs between drug industries and the Mexican government. The war on drugs ties hand in hand with the most recent crisis in the country, with a current crisis being drug violence throughout cities. </p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>The United Kingdom operates under multiple documents to govern their states, they use partly statutes, partly common law, and practice. The country operates under a constitutional monarchy. Since the UK is a generally more harmonious country, the main cleavage is between social and economic classes. King Charles III leads the executive branch of the UK along with Prime Minister Keir Starmer. The legislative branch of the UK is called  parliament, with a bicameral structure, broken up into the House of Lords and House of Commons. The UK also has a supreme court, made up of 12 justices. The real GDP of the UK is about 3.7 trillion, and their GDP per capita is about 54,100. Top industries include machine tools, electric power equipment, and automation equipment. Their most recent conflict was their involvement in the Afghanistan war,  and their most recent crisis was the 2023 recession. </p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>The latest Russian constitution was adopted on December 12, 1993. The country operates under a semi-presidential federation. The main cleavages in the country consist of Eastern Orthodox vs. atheist Russians and Slavophile vs. Westernizers. The executive branch is led by President Vladimir Putin, and the head of government is Premier Mikhail Vladimirovich. The legislative branch is a bicameral Federal Assembly consisting of the Federal Council and the State Durma. The judicial branch is represented by the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation, which consists of 120 members of a judicial panel. The GDP of Russia is 5.816 trillion dollars. The GDP Per capita is 39,800 dollars. Top industries include a complete range of mining and extractive industries and production of coal. The most recent war is the active war on Ukraine, and the most recent crisis is the constant political unrest. </p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>The constitution of Nigeria was adopted in 1999, due to the faults of the First Nigerian Republic. The country operates under a Federal presidential republic. The majority of the cleavages are ethnicity-based, with Nigeria containing 250-400 different ethnic backgrounds ranging from Muslim to Christian. The executive branch of the country is President Bola Ahmed Adekunle, along with her federal executive council. The legislative branch is called the National Assembly, which is a bicameral legislature. The judiciary is represented by the Supreme Court, which has 15 justices. The GDP is 1.275 trillion, and the GDP per capita is 5,700. Top industries include crude oil, coal, and tin. The most recent war was the Nigerian Civil War and their most recent crisis is the ongoing security crisis. </p>]]></description>

China operates under a Communist party-led government (Authoritarian). The political cleavages include ethnic and geographic cleavages, between Tibet and Uighur Muslims; and urban vs. rural. The executive branch is led by President Xi Jinping and his cabinet. The legislative branch is represented by the National Peoples Congress which is a unicameral structured organization. The largest cleavage is the split between Persian reformers and Christians. The Executive chief of state is the Supreme Leader Ali Hosenini. The legislative branch is called the Islamic Consultative Assembly, which is a unicameral body.
