LNY Hamper Wrapping

The LNY hamper wrapping will take place on 12 February 2026 (Thursday), during CFT period. FTs are to remind your students to bring items for the hampers. Each class will be given 3 to 4 baskets for your hamper wrapping, depending on the class size. Collection details for baskets, wrappers and scotch tape will be announced nearer to the date.

Once the link closes, OBS will assess the whole set of registration. In the event if further information is required from student(s), I’ll need your help to get in touch with the parents. An on-site medical screening will be scheduled from 2-6 March during PE curriculum time, for those who are attending the OBS programme. School will bear the cost of the medical screening for these students. Students who are not attending the programme will be required to report to school during the OBS period.

Each student from our Sec 2 and 3 cohorts will participate in a Learn-a-Skill module of his/her choice as part of our upcoming Careers Day in March.

15 Years Old NRIC Registration

Sec 3s/ 15 Years Old students will be doing the Biometrics Enrolment for their NRICs on 9 March 2026 from 1pm at the Dance Studio.

Please remind the students to bring along their school smart card for verification.

Parents will be informed via Parents Gateway (PG).

Registration Process

Parents will be required to login to go.gov.sg/icreg with their SingPass to submit the NRIC registration online by 4 March 2026 (3 days before the appointment date), to ensure a smooth biometrics enrolment onsite on 9 March 2026.

They are required to do the following:

Verify their child’s particulars; if you wish to add Chinese/Jawi/Tamil

Characters, please include during the online submission under the ‘Ethnic Name’ field. If you do not include it in your application, we will not be able to amend your application thereafter.

Upload their child’s photograph and supporting documents (where

applicable); and

Make payment for their child’s NRIC application

($10 for Singapore Citizens / $50 for Permanent Residents)

The ICA’s mobile registration team will be in school to do the biometrics enrolment only

2️⃣ If Your Class Has Contacted Organisations But Are Waiting for Replies

Focus on follow-up and backup planning. Tasks your class can complete today:

* Draft a follow-up message or email to the organisation

* Research the organisation’s mission and work

* Prepare a backup organisation or alternative activity

* Start drafting your VIA proposal outline

* Plan the roles students will take during the VIA

Goal by end of today:

At least one possible organisation identified and a draft proposal ready.

3️⃣ If Your VIA Project Idea Is Not Firm Yet

Focus on finalising your VIA idea. Tasks your class can complete today:

* Identify the community need you want to address

* Research possible organisations that match your idea

* Decide your type of project, such as:

Environment

Elderly support

Children

Migrant workers

Community welfare

* Draft a simple proposal (Objectives + Activity + Organisation)

* Assign someone to contact the organisation

Goal by end of today:

A clear VIA idea and an organisation to contact.

Before the end of the session, every class should have:

I learned CPR keeps blood flowing by chest compressions and rescue breaths to help someone whose heart has stopped beating.

b) Findings:

I found out that pushing hard and fast in the center of the chest increases survival chances before medical help arrives.

c) Future:

In future, I will stay calm, call emergency services, and perform CPR confidently if someone collapses or stops breathing.

d) Feelings:

I feel more confident and prepared, but also nervous, knowing CPR is serious and can save someone’s life.

I found out that confidence helps air stewardesses communicate with passengers clearly and stay calm when handling problems during flights.

c) Future:
Next, I want to find out what other skills air stewardesses need, such as teamwork, safety knowledge, and good customer service.

d) Feelings:
I feel excited and motivated because becoming an air stewardess sounds interesting and I want to build my confidence.

Findings: i found out many jobs today use drones to make their job easier

Feelings: happy as we get to fly the drones

c) Future: In future I can think critically, verify information, and use media responsibly to communicate clearly and avoid spreading misinformation

Findings : I found out how to identify individuals from things like hair, saliva, skin, fingerprints etc.

Future : I want to find out about what they do more in forensic science and how they do things there.
