The job of a principal this year has been one of the hardest jobs I can imagine. There are really no words to fully describe everything that you have had to manage and lead through on the daily. Society has asked you to make school happen regardless of whether the people you need, the structures you need, or the tools you need are there. And yet, you have led. You have balanced creative solutions and grit to keep safety and care for the whole person and the opportunity for in-person learning to happen all front and center. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. We (AF and society at large) cannot thank you enough for all you have done and all of you have given this year.

Lenny, it's never a dull moment when we connect, so I can only imagine how you show up to work everyday. I appreciate how you show up to cohort and own your learning. I can always count on you to share your genuine thoughts, ask questions and offer your expertise. In addition, although I am not your coach you're never afraid to call or text to ask questions or use me as a thought partner, all in the name of providing scholars with a great student experience. There are moments in life when you realize that you are a part of something really special. Sometimes you realize it while you're in it, sometimes you realize after the fact. For me, having the opportunity to support you and work alongside you, at a critical juncture on the college & career team, has been that moment of realizing I am a part of something special. Thank you for pushing our collective work. Thank you for your deep belief of what's possible and should be true for Black and Brown children and their life choices. Thank you for working your tail off and being an amazing mom and partner.
