I think that it can be dangerous to ban abortions especially since it can lead to a woman dying from needing an abortion and not having access to it. Procedures such as dnc's are vital to women's healthcare.

I definitely agree and acknowledge that many people are affected by reproductive policies, especially with Roe v Wade getting overturned. Personally, I've heard stories about family members encouraging or discouraging abortions. My sister (from another mister) did want to have her baby, but her parents didn't want her to have one and ultimately persuaded her to get an abortion. Furthermore, I don't think people realize that banning abortions won't stop them from happening.

While I am pro-choice, I can understand why people are pro-life. I think when discussing abortion, the fact that abortion is a morally grey area is not approached the way it should be. I think that this oversight is why pro-lifers see this movement as incredibly cold and callous. While people should have the right to choose, it's a difficult and traumatic choice. It is easy to understand why people are anti-abortion, but at the end of the day, sometimes the uglier looking choices are the most necessary.

Reproductive Justice expands more than just abortions, however looking at abortion legality helps us track the progress of reproductive Justice. This chart makes it seem like abortions are reducing because people are choosing to have children, however it is important to consider that restrictions have slowly increased on abortion as time goes on. As restrictions on abortion pile on, who is to say that other reproductive Justice issues don't follow soon after? Women are already prescribed 6x less medication than men for the same operations, and sex Ed isn't required to be medically accurate. Researchers are also being told they can't research queerness, so when will women's medical research(which is already behind) be banned too?

I feel that reproductive rights have a stigma attached that can all genders uncomfortable because of how society makes the subject matter taboo. How can we foster a community that accepts and encourages freedom of the body and preferences on motherhood, fatherhood, etc? There is so much judgement attached to how, when or if families can begin. How do we secure the rights of all our society?

I will never understand how men who will never carry children believe that they hold any right over women who decide not to do so whether it is for their own health (that they have decided does not matter) or because they simply do not want one or because they feel that they do not believe they have the capability to care for said child.

Women's healthcare isn't taken half as seriously as men's, and since clinical trials were predominantly done to suit the needs of the male body, our medical sector still doesn't have that much information pertaining specifically to women's healthcare, and a lot of their issues are brushed off and blamed on periods or birth control. Moreover, women are often considered dramatic and to have exaggerated their symptoms.

I am very frustrated, angry, and sad about women's rights being chipped away. The fact that so many decisions are made based on a particular mindset or way of thinking — that doesn't represent everyone's beliefs or needs — feels so unjust. And I don't understand why some people feel they have the right to makes such decisions for others. And that those who have been on the outside for so long seem to get a taste of equality but then it gets rolled back again.
