I've never been a journal-writing girly, but this course is encouraging me to maintain a good habit so I am excited to try it! Over this week, in my pursuit to launch my businesses and reach my goals, I've taken on the challenges of creating media to promote my ventures. I'm also currently in the process of resolving domain issues for my website. These tasks are proving to be quite a hurdle; however, I'm confident in my ability to overcome these obstacles and still meet my goal!

As part of this project, I've chosen to focus on improving my time management skills as my behavioral change goal. This decision stems from a realization of how pivotal effective time management is to my personal growth and success. I strongly believe that once I can get a handle on managing my time more efficiently, I'll be able to address and eliminate other poor habits that are hindering my progress. I view this as a stepping stone towards a more productive and balanced lifestyle.

My time management has gotten significantly better! I've been using my time more wisely to start building my business inventory. I've been procrastinating on my art business for a long time. This weekend, my mom encouraged me to focus on it over my other business. Several factors are preventing the other business from being marketed, so onto the art adventure I go.

This coming week, I will be setting up my Patreon account, which I'm excited about because I will be able to start marketing my art. I also started crocheting new items for my vendor event in November! I'm so excited to go on this journey!

This week, I am kickstarting the planning for my art shop in preparation for the back-to-school season and the upcoming Fall. Additionally, I am gearing up for a much-needed vacation, which means I need to pack and finalize my assignments for the days I will be at the resort. I am also setting aside some time to research new art supplies and trends to ensure my shop remains up-to-date and starts appealing to customers.

Thankfully, I have managed to stay on top of my courses and coursework, which gives me confidence that I can balance these tasks effectively. I am also looking forward to the relaxation that the vacation will provide, as it will help me return with renewed energy and focus. The break will be an excellent opportunity to recharge, gain new inspiration, and perhaps even come up with fresh ideas for my art shop. Overall, it looks like a busy but productive week ahead, filled with both professional and personal growth!

I have been working hard to stay on top of my education this week. I also have my calendar ready for our family vacation. I created two new art pieces and made their mock-ups. Here's how I do it: I create the piece, let it dry, scan it with a document scan app, and then save it as a PDF file.

Today and tomorrow, we are packing, making final purchases, and creating lists. My mom and I are also cleaning the house. It should be a good and relaxing week, thanks to my improved time management. If I had continued procrastinating, I would have been overwhelmed and might have had to stay home, which happened two years ago when I was failing a math course at my previous college and had an emotional breakdown during vacation.

This time, I feel confident in my work and my new time management skills!

This journaling thing is actually kind of fun. I don’t know why, but I really enjoy having something to just talk to. I may even continue using Padlet for this reason!

This vacation has been okay but a little challenging. My 9-year-old brother needs to eat every two hours or he starts to get hangry. But he is still a child who wants to swim and have fun, so he has refused food for much of this trip. My cousin, who lives here in Florida where we are visiting, came and straightened him out.

As a woman who is not yet a mother, I'm finding motherhood is hard. Vacations can be challenging and not always restful or peaceful. That’s okay. I saw numerous moms at Animal Kingdom struggling with their tired and sweaty babies. When we were leaving Animal Kingdom, I saw a grandma with a small toddler who has autism. She was struggling so much. He was crying and screaming; everyone knows how that goes. She met eyes with me, and it just spilled out: “You’re doing great!”

I guess I am taking a break from time management this week and learning to give encouragement. Mamas and dads have a really hard job. So do professors, teachers, and administration. So do people who work their 9-5 and care for their dog. At the end of the day, we all want peace and rest. So, for anyone who reads this, encourage someone. It’s a health tip!
