This is due to how Thoreau writes about  that idea more than other transcendental authors. You can find Spiritual well being over financial well being in most of his content. He is more direct when articulating the idea. For example in (From conclusion) thoreau writes “No man loses ever   on a lower level by magnanimity” this is expressing spiritual well being over final well being in the form of being at a lower level but he won't get offended meaning he doesn't care what others say cause he is in sync with himself, in other words spiritual well being. Another example of this is from Thoreau “it's not what you look at that matters, it's what you see” because when it says it's not what you look at that matter, it is say your financial well doesn't matter. It what you see, is saying that being happy with what you got is what matters. This is showing the spiritual well being. These are only two of many quotes from Thoreau. For these reasons I see Thoreau as the best at articulating spiritual well being over financial well being.

It also shows individualism because he is dressed differently from the other human and the other human is looking at him like if he was weird. While he looks happy like if he was spiritually well. This teaches me that when you surround yourself by nature you will be spiritually well and be one with nature.
