With the group we worked with (me and Hien with Vananh), we decided that Amerigo Vespucci made a better impact, by finding South America and documenting it to build a more accurate world map to help find both Americas, but Hudson made a bigger impact, due to the fact that he brought diseases upon Native Americans

We decided that Hudson has a larger contribution but the influence of it is on the negative side. While, Vespucci made a smaller contribution compared to Hudson but the contribution was on the positive side. This could be since through the fact that when Hudson traveled through more places than Vespucci, Vespucci contribution of the Mundus Novus was more helpful. Also, the negative pat of Hudson's contribution is that he brought on diseases to the North part of America.

Amerigo made a smaller influence but he made a better influence compare to Hudson. He made a greater impact but the impact is more negative than Amerigo. Although Amerigo made less voyages than Hudson, the impact they have on the native american is better than Hudson's because he brought diseases into North america. He also discover the hudson river that helps the dutch colonize part of north america.

Christopher Columbus VS. Ferdinand Magellan

With my partner (Gloria), we decided that Ferdinand Magellan had a greater contribution to connecting the world in the Age of Exploration. The reason is while Christopher discovered more places, he did a lot of harm to the people and the places he discovered. For example Christopher Columbus enslaved native people and opened up the Americans to European colonization. Meanwhile Ferdinand found Philippines and the strait of Magellan, his voyage was more peaceful. Except when he attacked a tribe when they didn't want conversion. Ferdinand Magellan also discovered other things.

My partner was Hui Ying, and we decided that Ferdinand was a better explorer than Christopher. It is because even though Christopher and Ferdinand both had achievements, we decided that Ferdinand has more achievements than what Christopher has. Also, Christopher opened up the Americans to the European colonization.

Me and Kim decide that Christopher Columbus has impacted way more than Vasco da gama because if Christopher Columbus didn't discovered the new world (America) then that country wouldn't develop to be a world most down country. but although Vasco da gama discovered India the country still hasn't developed as much as America. At that time people who discovered India was very lucky because the country had a lot of gold and many different spices and food. On the other hand Christopher Columbus made a revultional thing that impact history and to this day people celebrating the day he discovered America so I think the reason why people appreciate him more than other explores was because his impacted has more meaningful and important than the other explores.

My partner was Minh And Phu and although Marco Polo influenced/inspired Christopher Columbus. Marco Polo influenced more than Christopher Columbus because Marco Polo traveled across Asia and entered the court of the ruler Kublai Khan. Christopher Columbus was an amazing explorer to find a route to India to be able to trade spices first going to the Americas. Christopher Columbus was inspired by Marco Polo and what he did so Marco Polo will always be remembered for that.
