Louie was a troubled boy who drank alcohol, got into fights, and stole from shops. He wasn't at all planning to make a change. Until his older brother, Pete, gave him the chance he needed. Pete had shown Louie the ways of running and Louie realized he had a passion for it. In the middle of his teenage years Louie gained the name the Torrance Tornado after being such a talented runner.Towards the end of his teenage years and toward his young adult years he had gotten himself into the Olympics. Louie had broken a record for making the fastest time withing 50 seconds. Then Louie was drafted for World War II. Everything was going swell until he had the flight with the Green Hornet. Louie was with a whole new crew except for his close pal, Phil. The Green Hornet was a mess, with missing parts for other planes, to weak engines. While flying, both engines failed and they crashed landed into the ocean, with only three people surviving. Louie and Phil were on the raft for 47 days while their other crew mate, Mac, lost his mind. When they finally were found it wasn't Americans who found them it was the Japanese. The Japanese tortured them for in-tell on the Americans but Louie and Phil both lied to them without them knowing. After being tortured they were thrown into more chaos, a POW camp. There, "the bird" tortured and hated Louie the most without a true, genuine reason why. Louie was put into a different camp where he was forced to work and slave around all day. There the bird was still there and tried to break him. The bird made Louie hold a wood frame in the air even when he was the weakest he would ever be and told guards if he dropped it, beat him. Louie never dropped it and the bird was furious so he beat him instead. Then the day came, the Americans won the war and it took about a week for the POW's to be rescued. When rescued, Louie returned home, but there was a problem, he couldn't run and continue his running career. Louie married his wife, Cynthia and had one child with her. Louie had severe PTSD and became an alcoholic and severely depressed. Cynthia left him for this and took her child with her. Now Louie passed on in 2014 with a brave heart. He did skate boarding as a hobby and even lit the Olympic Cup. Now Louie's name will forever be remembered for his survival and perseverance.
