This quote really sums up what the whole book is about, Chloe is trying to find her way through college applications and visits. It isn't until she realizes that everyone takes a different path in life that she finds peace with all the decisions she has made over the course of the book. Throughout the book Chloe has stressed herself out so much about one thing, college, weather she is going to get in, plus the portfolio requirements she has to complete. It does not help that her best friend is staying California and her boyfriend is in New York. Towards the end of the book everything starts to come together for Chloe, her friends are understanding that she has to make some decisions and that they should not pressure her into making one. Chloe has excitement to see what the future holds for her and all of her friends, the question is what path will she take.

I strongly agree with what the book review is saying about Chloe and the story line, even though this review is not specifically about the book I was reading it gives good insight to what the series is about. Personally I loved this book and what it stands for, with hard work you can accomplish anything. The author balances Chloe's stress about college and designing with her excitement about college and designing, which was very interesting to read because those are two very different emotions that go along with two very important themes in the book. Another thing the author played with was the changing relationship with her best friend Alex, in this book the strong relationship between them weakens as Chloe leans on her former enemy, Nina, who is also a designer and is applying to the same fashion schools Chloe is. It was really cool to see both of those relationships develop and change over the course of the series. I feel that this is the perfect book to read for anyone who is going through the same stresses and excitements as Chloe is at this time in her life.

College is a very big idea in this book, but it is more than just an idea in Chloe's head, like a sketch, college is going to become a very big reality very soon. Chloe has put so much effort into her college applications and portfolios that college needs to mean something to Chloe or else everything she has done would be for nothing. To Chloe college is the start of her career in the fashion world, Chloe has always loved fashion and by taking this step she is inching closer and closer to her dream of being a hot shot designer. Chloe's journey all started when she auditioned and won Teen Design Diva, a design competition for teens, similar to Project Runway, in the first book and her internship at a well known fashion house in the second book. Now Chloe is finishing high school and moving on to that next step in her life, I wonder what comes next in her fashion journey.

Chloe's best friend, Alex and her former enemy, Nina, have never gotten along, and until this book none of them wanted anything to do with one another. With all the stresses of college applications, Chloe and Nina had become really close, Alex was not too pleased with this new found friendship. Which resulted in Alex distancing herself form Chloe and Chloe felt like she was losing her best friend, in the end they made up and we're best friends again but not without a twist. Nina and Chloe had been design some girls dresses for the winter formal, there was just one left to design, Alex's, Chloe had the idea that if Nina helped her design Alex's dress that some how Alex become friends with Nina, which in the end worked. When Chloe told Alex that Nina had helped with the design, she finally decided to give Nina a chance. This conflict took two books and the majority of the third to overcome, so in my mind that is a major conflict.

Chloe has always been very critical of herself and always put a lot of pressure on herself to make everything perfect, this is also one of her biggest conflicts. When Chloe arrived back home from New York, Chloe felt as though she was behind everyone on the college front, because everyone had the whole summer to think and plan their college applications and she was in New York helping a designer with fashion week. When Chloe saw everything she had to do, three portfolios and three essays, she was very overwhelmed she never thought she would be able to complete it all in the time she had with her high expectations. With the help of Nina's eye and all her hardwork Chloe got everything done with time to spare, Nina and Chloe sent in their applications together and we're finally done with all the stress, at least until they actually start college. Chloe got into all of the colleges she applied to, which proved to her that her expectations for herself will actually help her in the end, she also proved to herself that she can do everything she puts her mind to.
