THE DAY THAT I GOT LOST

The sun was blazing and a crowd of people were squeezing my small body to get through the stall along the road in the market. Feeling dizzy and stuffy, I decided to step out to the side gasping for air. That was when I lost sight of my mother. A five years old kid, alone, in a market full of strangers, not knowing the way to get back home, my first instinct was to cry.

Suddenly, an angle like lady with a sweet smile approached me. She soothed me with her gentle voice telling me that I’m safe with her. Unfortunately, I don’t remember any of my family’s contacts or home adress. The only information I could provide to the lady was my mother’s name, “ My mom is Saadiah “, I told her with a glint of hope, hoping that they miraculously know each other. The lady’s face spontaneously delighted as she asked me “ Aunty Saadiah ? The one that sells kuih pao ? “. Turns out, she was my mother’s regular customer. Immediately, she browsed through her contact and dialled my mother’s phone number.

After a minute of them talking to each other on the phone, I finally saw my mother rushing towards me, drenched with sweats and worries painting her face. My mother embraced me in a hug, with a shaky breath, she uttered, “ Alhamdulillah you’re safe and sound my child ”. My mother thanked the lady for her kindness, taking me under her care. This incident is a lesson to both me and my mother. Being at crowded places sure is distracting but we should be extra careful and conscious to prevent any unfortune.

The Most Surprising Thing I Discovered About Myself

I always thought I was confident and self-assured on stage, performing in a way that pursued my dream. However, as I faced new challenges during my teenage and early adult years, I discovered that insecurity was something I had long ignored. Despite my outward confidence, I was dealing with self-doubt and fears I had not acknowledged. During high school, I often felt out of place that surrounded by peers who seemed to outshine effortlessly. Though I had average good grades and felt prodigy, I frequently compared myself to others and questioned my own abilities. These feelings of insecurity followed me into adulthood that affecting my career, friendships and even how I saw myself.

The turning point came during a challenging project at work when I received critical feedback. I immediately doubted my abilities and wondered if I was good enough. I realized that for a long time, I had been relying too much on external validation to feel secure and constantly seeking approval from others to confirm my worth and place in the world. I was driven by the need to be accepted and often molding myself to fit the expectations and desires of those around me. As a result, I had become a people pleaser by prioritizing the approval of others over my own sense of self and allowing their opinions to shape how I viewed myself. This is a wake-up call. I had built my sense of self-worth on the approval of others which made me vulnerable to insecurity.

Accepting that insecurity is part of being human was an eye-opening. It did not mean I was weak or simply meant I was uncertain like everyone else. So, I shifted my focus from comparison to self-acceptance by learning to build confidence from within every journey. Insecurity is no longer something that I should avoid. It has become part of my personal growth. In conclusion, I discovered myself that insecurity is not something I can outrun or dismiss. It is a challenge I must face and overcome and through it, I will continue to pursue my goals with courage and conviction.

An Unexpected Adventure in the Neighbourhood

Last Saturday evening, I was jogging around my residential area. Considering, I just moved so I just want to see the place. While I was jogging, I saw a huge house in the last road of my residential area. The house was very obsolete and dirty. I was thinking the house must be abandoned years. I just jogging around at the same area. And at last I went to the gate of the house.

On the way, the weather was going down and seems like going to rain. I was scared but I just go in site the house. Before I open the door, I heard a dog is barking. I was shocked and try to chase away the dog. Unfortunately, the dog didn’t move at all. So, I decided to open the door. When I trying to open the door, I found the door didn’t lock. I just pull the door and went. Inside the house, it appeared dark, dusty and messy. I started coughing as soon as I stepped into the house. What was even more surprising was a door suddenly opened. I slowly opened the door and saw a shining light that caused by the sunlight streaming through the window. I was mesmerized to see that every corner of the room had very beautiful paintings. I looked at the paintings and wondered if the occupant of this house was a painter. I was very fascinated by all the paintings. I took several pictures of the paintings.

Suddenly, I heard a dog barking and was surprised to see that it was already 6:30 p.m. I hurried back home even though I hadn’t fully satisfied my curiosity about the paintings. I never thought that behind an old, abandoned house, there would be something so amazing. Usually, such houses tell horror stories.

A Random Act of Kindness That Made My Day

One day, I was on the KTM (Kereta Api Tanah Melayu) Komuter train, heading towards Butterworth. The journey was long, and the train was delayed, arriving later than expected. While I was sitting, I noticed a pregnant woman who looked very tired, so I offered her my seat. She accepted with a thankful smile, and I felt good about helping her. But as the delay continued, I started to worry because I was running late for my flight.

When we finally arrived at the Butterworth station, the woman noticed that I looked anxious and asked me what was wrong. I explained that I was afraid I would miss my flight since no GrabCar was accepting my ride request to the airport. She listened and then made an unexpected offer. She told me, "My house is near Penang International Airport. My husband is picking me up. We can give you a ride."

When her husband arrived, she explained my situation to him, and he immediately offered to help. I felt a bit uncomfortable at first, not knowing them well, but their kindness was genuine. So, I accepted the ride. During the drive, they were very friendly, and I felt more at ease. They took me straight to the airport, and I managed to catch my flight just in time. I was so relieved and thankful, expressing my gratitude before rushing to board.

This experience taught me a valuable lesson. What began as a small act of kindness offering my seat turned into something much bigger. Their generosity in helping a stranger touched me deeply. It reminded me that even simple gestures can lead to greater acts of kindness. Now, I try to be kind to others whenever I can, knowing that it can make a big difference in someone's day.

The Secret I Never Told Anyone Until Now

For years, I kept a secret that weighed on my mind. It all started on a Monday morning just before I came back home for university holiday. It happened when I was backing out of my driveway. I was distracted by my phone and didn’t see the ice delivery lorry parked behind me. Suddenly, I heard a loud crash as my car hit the lorry. My heart sank as I realized what had just happened.

In that moment, fear took over. What would my family say. Would they be mad at me? Instead of telling them about the accident, I made a choice. I would keep it a secret. I thought that if I admitted my mistake, I would only get in trouble.

I decided to fix the dent in the car using my allowance money. Each month, I saved a little bit from my pocket money, carefully planning how to pay for the repairs. It was hard to watch the dent every day, knowing it was my fault, but I felt proud that I was trying to solve the problem on my own.

As time went by, my guilt keep grewing, but so did my sense of independence. After several months of saving, I finally had enough money to fix the car without anyone knowing. When the repair was done, I felt a huge weight lift off my shoulders, but the secret still hovering in my mind.

Looking back now, I realize that this experience taught me important lessons about honesty and taking responsibility for my actions. Even though I kept my secret for so long, it helped me grow into someone who values truth and learns from mistakes.

During the last mid-semester break, I went home by train. At the time, the situation on the train was very crowded and hot because the air conditioner had been broken for a long time. I also felt hot and had to stand for a long time before reaching my destination, which was about 30 minutes away. While traveling, i saw many people trying to help a female student who looked very weak. I noticed an aunt trying to assist her because the student appeared to be nauseous. Unfortunately, I couldn't help her because the train was so packed.

At Gurun Station, the crowd started to thin out, so I quickly approached the girl because I noticed there was no one by her side anymore. I asked her, " Are you okay?" The student looked up with watery eyes abd a pale face. She just shook her head and closed her eyes again. I decided to stay near her until we reached my destination.

When we arrived, I saw her trying to get up, but she couldn't because she had a muscle cramp. I immediately helped lift her, with the assistance of a young woman, to a safer place. After that, we asked for help from an employee at the counter to take care of her. Unfortunately, I couldn't stay long because my family had already arrived to pick me up.

In conclusion, I felt very relieved and happy to be able to help someone, even though I didn't know her.

The most memorable person in my life is my best friend. Her name is Lily Suhara. Although she passed away five years ago, the memory of both of us is always in the memory. She died of leukemia.

I met her since I was nine years old at primary school. I noticed her sitting by herself at the table, her eyes buried in a book. When I saw her for the first time, I thought she was arrogant and unfriendly. I walked up to the table with a smile, asked, "Do you mind if I sit here?". She looked up from her book, surprised at first, but then smiled back and said, “Of course, go ahead.” That simple invitation was the start of a conversation that flowed more easily than I had expected. She is a very gentle and noblest person I ever met. Her gentle voice while talking to me made me stunned to be close friends with her.

After a few weeks of getting know each other, Lily and I became inseparable. Lily and I are like siblings because we care to each other. When I'm sad Lily is a place for me to express my feelings and she always give me some advice when I feel down. She was always stand by my side when I was happy or sad. We always hang out together at the beach and share our problems while watching the sunset. Everytime I see the sunset I always remember her by my side but it's all just my memories with her. If I know she wants to leave my life, I want to spend a lot of time with her. so the most unforgettable person in my life that I can't forget is my best friend Lily Suhara.

I had planned a peaceful solo trip to Kota Kinabalu, Sabah. A place that felt calm, majestic, and serene. I will never forget this holiday experience.

It all began on my second day in Sabah. I decided to go hiking on Mount Kinabalu at dawn. With my camera in hand, I set out early, eager to capture the breathtaking views. During the hike, I realized I was alone, with no other hikers or climbers around me. I already climbed 4 kilometers. “No matter what happens Lana, you have to finish it,” I told myself. The trail was peaceful, and I felt a sense of calm with every step.

Unfortunately somewhere along the way, I missed a turn. What had been a serene walk quickly turned into panic as I found myself in an unfamiliar part of the hills, surrounded by thick fog and dense forest.

I retraced my steps, only to get more lost. Tears streamed down my face. 'What should I do? Where am I? Am I going to die here?' These questions flooded my mind. I was terrified.

“Miss? Are you okay?” I heard a voice behind me. Turning around, I saw a young man about my age approaching with a worried expression. He introduced himself as Noah. His easygoing demeanor quickly calmed my nerves and we decided to find our way back together. We talked about everything along the trail, and it was surprisingly fun.

Noah helped me by carrying my backpack and frequently asked if I needed to stop to rest.

Eventually with the help of a local, we found our way back to the trail. We parted ways without exchanging numbers.

I thought I would never see him again, but little did I know, fate brought us back together. He is now my partner and soon-to-be husband. Looking back, getting lost led to an unforgettable encounte showing me that the best memories often come from the unexpected.

When my age around 15 until 17, I was actually doing an online game account business. There’s actually a funny story in that that period of time I doing this career. One day I was scrolling ‘Tiktok’ app and there’s actually an intresting post about a deal that’s swapping their account with other account that meet his requirement. I felt the deal will bring me a profit because of the requirement to meet his criteria are really low compared to what his offered. At that time, I only have one account that meet his request but the stupid part is that is a special account gifted by my friend because he was retiring from the game.

I don’t think long because it was really tempting so I just straightly message him. About an hour he replied and he just agreed easily. I felt happy and anxious at the same time because why would a person make this kind of ‘not worthy deal’. I think positively and not suspecting this is a scam because I never got scam before with the thinking I already a professional. Shortly, the deal start from me that asking him whether should we use a middle person service or not, worried if he not trusting me. He said suit me whether I want to use or not so from that point I just not thinking of using it because of the exciting feeling from getting profit from this deal. I kindly offer first my username and password of the account. He said wait that he want to check it first and not even in second his profile picture disappeared. I panicked and quickly checking if he blocked me and that’s really come true! Finally my greatest fear in this career happened.

A day after that incident, I just afraid to said that to my friend that gave the account. I encourage myself and told about it and he told me a was fool and still bring this topic till this day. From that I learn about scammers and never got scammed again until today.

As my memory recalled an event that recently happened during one of my isolation phase where I often find myself struggling to keep in contact with my loved ones. It's a never-ending cycle which seems to have no finishing line that it eventually became my solace. While it's undeniable that I lost some of my friends in the process, I soon realized they were never one to begin with. It knocked some sense in me because just like the changing weather, I too wish to change ever since I found myself a big group of friends that I need to keep.

People aren't able to change overnight just because they aim for it, it applies to me as well. I slightly expected it coming but who would have thought things would escalated differently this time. As usual I isolated myself for weeks without getting in touch with anyone, the days went by so fast that I lost track of time. I laid myself in bed for hours but suddenly my mom screamed 'there's someone out the door asking for you'. My guts are telling me the consequences of my actions are out to get me.

As i opened the door, I could see 7 figures standing infront of me with assorted expressions. I was in disbelief seeing how my friends would go to the extent of coming to my house. They reached out for my arm to hug and console me, followed with endless nagging. I could feel all of my emotions are flowing out but this time they offered a shoulder to lend on. It might be a cliche story but this taught me as person to look around your surrounding because you're never alone in this journey and I knew from that very moment, it pretty much sums up the kind of person they are

For as long as I could remember, nature was my biggest nemesis. I hated everything about it because I have a bad experience when I was kid. Family hikes felt like a punishment for me, which means the weird bugs that seemed to target me and the discomfort of being outside activity especially the unpredictable weather. I felt dreaded any outing that required me to enjoy the greats outdoors and to me nature was nothing but a chaotic mess.

That was until one quiet summer evening, I had reluctantly joined my family on a second time of camping trip at Sungai Congkak, Selangor. When we just arrived, I felt like my summer camping trip is end. I had spent most of the day sulking in the tent, annoyed at the lack of Wi-Fi and the persistent mosquito bites. But as night as fell, something unexpected happened. I went outside to stayed close to the campfire for warming my hands. Then my mother nudged me and said “Look up !”. I sighed, thinking it was just another one of her attempts to get me to appreciate nature. But when I tilted my head back, I froze. Above me stretched an endless canvas of black, seemed like millions of diamonds are shinning. For the first time in my life, I understood why people called nature is a part of our life. I lay on the ground and staring upward and start wonders I had been blind to simply to discover on nature.

Seeing the stars for the first time was more than just a beautiful moment, I realized that nature wasn’t the enemy I had made it out to be. Looking back, I am grateful for that camping trip and the night sky that change my perspective. I no longer see nature as a chaotic mess but as a masterpiece waiting to be appreciated. Now, I am nature lover.

I had experience it before when I gave my bestfriend, Jiha a present on her birthday. I know most of people will think that birthday gift is a normal things that happen when the day is coming. But the special thing is the way they appreciated it with their precious smile that make us felt so joyful.

Jiha and I had been closed friend for years and I know about her life deeply. Even the problem that she had and I know how struggle she is to survived. And I decided to make surprise on her birthday by giving a special gift to make her happy. A week before, I planned how to make a surprise to her and I decided to hang out together with her on that special day. So she was okay and really excited because we are rarely see each other eventhough we are closed. When the day arrived, I waited the perfect moment to give her that gift. When she was enjoying her meal, I slowly handed her package and told her to unwrapped it. She was shock because the gift is the things that she wanted for it so long. The moment she saw a stunning bracelet inside the box, her face was so exciting with the brightest smile I had ever seen.

From that day, I learned that the act of giving is fulfilling happiness for someone as receiving. Her smile was the best reward and I believed that was a reminder of how meaningful simple acts of kindness can make someone be a happiest person ever on her special day.

Decisions can be defined as a conclusion or resolution after consideration. For me, one of the best decision I have ever made was pursuing higher education into The Foundation in Life Science Programme in Universiti Malaysia Sarawak. Leaving my hometown in Terengganu do need a lot of strength in faith as i knew I will be all alone without any families or relatives. Honestly, the idea of living 1500 kilometres away from my family felt overwhelming and terrifying at first but this decision helped me to adapt in new environments, taught me to be independent and sharpening my personal development in a ways I never expected.

Living in Sarawak for a year opened my eyes to a new fascinating environment. I could explored the difference between the culture, traditions and their local dishes. Some of the dishes that had me devoured everything on the plate were Kolo Mee (Mee Kolok), Laksa Sarawak and Mee Jawa Sarawak.

Being far from my parents also taught me how to stand on my two feets. As student, it was normal to experience the financial stress, toxic environment and homesickness. With supportive friends that I made and devotion to keep getting stronger, I managed to survive with a blast of happy memories with Tantan, Zeq and Yuyun

Academically, UNIMAS provided an excellent environment for personal growth. With a lot of presentations and spontaneous speeches, i successfully overcome my anxiety to talk in public. Participating in student activities also helped me to shaped an effective communication skills and taught me leadership and teamwork. These knowledge and experience built my confidence and self esteem

Personally, studying in UNIMAS introduced me to a new perspective of life. It taught me to be embrace the diversity, step out of my comfort zone and enhanced my personal growth. I am very lucky to have this precious experience especially as it help me to be myself

The day I got my SPM results was one of the best days of my life. It was a moment I will always remember because it made me feel truly proud of myself. I had always dreamed of achieving good results, but deep down, I never believed I could do it. However, what happened that day changed everything. It taught me a lesson about believing in myself.

On that morning, I was nervous as I sat with my parents at home, waiting to check my results online. I had worked hard for the exams, but I never thought I could get the best results. Some subjects were very challenging, and there were times I doubted myself. I was always afraid that I would make everyone disappointed. When I finally logged in to the website, I was shocked as I saw my results. I couldn’t believe my eyes when I got 7As in my SPM results. I had done so well and better than I ever imagined. My parents were just as shocked. For a few seconds, we were all silent. Then my mom hugged me tightly and my dad smiled proudly. They told me how happy they were and how proud they felt. As promised, they handed me RM1000 in cash on the spot as a reward. I was surprised and so grateful.

This moment was special to me because it showed that my hard work had paid off. Even when something feels impossible, courage and effort can make a big difference. That day made me believe in myself more. It wasn’t just about the money or the grades. It was about proving to myself that I can achieve great things if I try my best. I hope in the future I can continue to make me and my parents proud of myself and use this success as motivation to achieve bigger dreams.

Everyone must have their moments that are terrifying that remained in their memory forever. But for me, the scariest night that occurred in my life is when my dad picked up the call from my aunt. What was meant to be regards to him from his hometown but it quickly turned out to be a disturbing experience that is heart pounding, and making me and my family trembling. Looking back at the night, I was so disappointed with me and I hope I can turn back the time.

It all started when my father has been asking me “Should we go to my hometown this holiday?” because he missed so much in Perak, but I refused to follow him to go to his hometown because I was too busy with my own studies, the big exam was coming so i was really into studying and i can't let anyone interfere with it. It was a busy week for me until my mom have been lecturing me that I need to spend time with my family too and then I realised that my mom was right. My grandparents and others in Perak have been asking my parents why I didn't go to their house during holiday and then my parents always come up with an excuse but in reality, I was drowning into studies.

Then the night finally came, when I was finally break free from my exam, my father got a call from my aunt but his face turned pale. I was wondered and asked him “Father, are you alright?” and my father told me that I need to pack my things because we need to rush to my hometown as soon as possible. At that time, I didn’t think of anything unexpected would happen to me until my father open up that my grandfather was sent to the emergency room but we didn’t make in time, my grandfather has passed away the same day. I was shocked by the news that my aunt told and still in denial. I’ve learned my lesson and hoping that I can manage my time properly.

A MOMENT WHEN I FELT TRULY INDEPENDENT

The moment when I truly felt independent was when I started going to university at IPG Tuanku Bainun. This was the first time in my life that I had been away from my family. Being a spoiled child, it was, of course, difficult for me to adjust to being far from them. It was an emotional day as I was nervous about leaving the comfort of home.

The saddest moment was saying goodbye to my family for the last time because that marked the beginning of my journey as someone who had to be independent.

The reality of independence hit me hardest on the first night when I felt very hungry. I had to cook, but with no prior experience in cooking, it was a real challenge. However, I was determined to make it work. After a quick online search for a simple recipe and a few phone calls to my mom for guidance, I managed to prepare a decent meal. It wasn’t perfect, but it was mine, and that small achievement made me feel incredibly proud.

Another unforgettable experience was the first time I boarded a plane alone to return home to Selangor during a semester break. I was very scared at first, but when I arrived at the airport, the staff there helped me with everything, including buying tickets, checking luggage, and finding my way around. My nervousness gradually subsided. Throughout the flight, I managed everything by myself without depending on my parents. Before this, my parents took care of everything for me, now I am an adult who must stand on my own. Finally, I successfully reached home through my own efforts, and I felt very proud of my achievement.

That experience taught me that independence is not about knowing everything but having the courage to try and solve problems on your own. It was a important moment in my life that made me realize I am capable of handling responsibilities and making decisions without relying on others. It was the beginning of my journey toward self-reliance and personal growth.

It was supposed to be a typical Saturday, but it turned out different. That morning, I woke up wondering where the odour came from. Then I immediately jumped out of my bed and realized there was a dried-up brownish weird-looking thing. It most likely looked like human faeces, but there's no way someone would do that, so my cat actually did that. I cleaned up my bed while sighing deeply.

Then my family and I were going to send my sister back to her university. My dad recently just installed brand-new car roof boxes. We load up all my sister's belongings. On the way to the university, my mother drove the car, unaware that she drove the car a bit fast then suddenly all my sister’s belongings fell off from the car roof boxes, right in the middle of the big road. Then my father immediately crossed the busy highway to pick up everything that flew away. It was a dangerous attempt, to be honest.

After that unlucky incident, we finally arrived at the destination. I accidentally tripped out when I was going to the toilet. There’s a small bruise on my palm. How clumsy am I. After we had done all the business there, we went back home. We stopped at the gas station to buy something to eat. I was excited and rushed into the mart. I purchased my favourite muffin and can't wait to eat it. It was all fun and games until I took my first bite. It tastes a bit off and slightly bitter. I looked back at my muffin and saw a big round mold. I immediately threw my muffin in the nearest bin while thinking about the price and my stomach.

When we arrived at my house, I was going to check the homework that I did last night. I was a bit confused because it went missing. It turns out my cat, ripped off my homework and peed on it. I was shocked. I blank-starred for almost an hour, trying to recap what I did wrong to have such a bad day. I wish my friends didn't go through the same thing as me and would never have a day when everything went wrong.

One day at the age of 9, I woke up because of my mom crying. Confused and worried , I asked my mother what is wrong. “Grandpa passed away this morning”, as soon as I heard that I hugged my mother gently calming her down. I never really thought about the situation at such young age, but one day I wondered what would happen if I were in that situation. I realized I am growing up.

From the first day of highschool to the last day of highschool passed by swiftly. As a highschooler, I have grades, friends, and expectation to meet especially when SPM almost coming up. Sometimes I broke down when I hit the rock bottom and losing myself. I keep comparing myself with peers who can do so many things at once and have achieved a lot in, beating myself for not being able to do the same. But my mother would always be there for me to gives advices, support and remind me life really becomes so much lighter when I stopped worrying about the things I cant control so start to learned peace and to be there for myself.

And that moment, It made me more awared that my mother used to be someone little girl like me that has also been on a rough journey with her life, to be exposed on difficulties, solve everything on her own and to take care of herself and others.
How I Make My First Friend

"Friend in need is a friend indeed". This saying became crystal clear to me on the first day of the kindergarden, when i made my first real friend. It all started on a day filled with fear and uncertainly one that I wasn't sure I would survive.

I remember clutching my mom's hand as we entered the bright classroom. The wall were covered in colourful drawing, and other kids seemed so at ease, chatting and laughing with each other. But to me, it all felt so overwhelming. The thought of being left alone in this unfamiliar place made my stomach twist. When my mom finally said goodbye, I lost it. I collapsed in the corner, sobbing uncontrolly. I wanted nothing more than to go back home.

Thats when Faezah, my first tru friend noticed me. She was calm in a way that made me feel safe and she walked over without hesitation. She didn't say anything at first but simply reached into her backpack and pulled out a bright red stuffed dinosaur with big googly eyes. Without a word, she offered it to me.

"Do you want to play?" she asked. Her simple yet kind gesture immediately made me stop bawled my eyes out. I was hesitant but her smile reassured me, so I took the dinosaur from her. Faezah led me to small group of kids, and soon, we were making up stories where the dinosaur was a hero flying through the sky

By the end of the day, I had stopped crying, and I had made my first friend. Faezah didn't wait for me to ask for help. She noticed i was struggling and stepped in, offering kindness in the most simple, yet profound way. Her quiet empathy turned my overwhelming day into a memory of how true friendship can start. The moment stayed with me, teaching me that a true friend is someone who sees when you need help and offers it, no question asked. It was a lesson I have carried with me ever since.

The Time I Learned the Value of Hard Work

Back when I was 17 years old, I faced the biggest nightmares of my life when I needed to take a big exam called Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM). This exam not only assessed my academic performance, but it also served as a benchmark for my future. During the preparation period for me to study, I realized how importance for us to put effort in hard work to achieve success.

At first, I thought that to achieve success in exam, it is not a proper way for us to only rely on our talent and intelligence but we also need to be more dedicated. However, as time went on, I began to understand that relentless effort and patience were the true keys to success. By that principle, I kept on followed a strict study schedule, it is because to get a good result I need to sacrificing my free time to achieve my goals. Moreover, I also need to prioritized more to the most difficult subject such as add math and chemistry with determination, even though there were moment when I feel like giving up. However, I always remembered the motivational words," effort will never betray result".

Most importantly, I also realized that hard work does not mean studying relentlessly, it also involves wise time management, physical that healthy to help us maintaining our mental health and also seeking support from teachers and peers. After overcoming variety of challenges, I finally faced the examination with confidence. From the result of the examination reflected not only my intelligence but more importantly, the effort I had invested. In the end, the experience taught me the true success does not come easily. It requires dedication, discipline and hard work without giving up. I’m confident that whatever goal one wishes to achieve, the value of hard work will always be the foundation in attaining it.

HOW A SMALL MISTAKE CAN TAUGHT ME A BIG LESSON

Have you ever heard of the butterfly affect? It is a principle in chaos theory that describes how a small change or specific action can create a chain reaction that causes a big effect to happen. Well, the things I’m about to write in this essay is kind of related to this theory, which is how a small mistake can teach me a big lesson and have a big effect in my life.

The small and common mistake I’ve made is getting easily distracted and getting sidetracked from the thing I’m supposedly focusing on. With our modern landscape, it is so easy to get caught up mindlessly scrolling on social media, and this is the exact mistake I made, While I'm supposed to complete all my assignments on time, I instead get distracted and spent my time scrolling through TikTok and Instagram reels, from five minutes break, has turn into an hour break, and before I realized it, my supposedly five minutes study break has turned into a whole day of procrastination. I’ve realized how many hours I’ve wasted by doing absolutely nothing instead of completing my assignments and other productive things, because of this small mistake, it has caused me a lot of unnecessary and avoidable problems, because of distraction, it led me to produce below average quality of assignments that causes my grades to plummet, and because of my distraction, I’ve lost many of my sleep trying to catch up with all my assignments, which eventually led to health problem on the long run.

I’ve realized how undisciplined I am, I did this to myself and no can be blamed for it. This has me reflecting on my mistake and flaws which makes me realize how important time management is, the big lesson that I’ve got from this is time does not wait for no one, it is something that we shouldn’t take for granted. To end this essay and to convey the lesson and cautionary tale from this essay, im going to quote a lyric from Pink Floyd’s song called Time “ And you are young and life is long, and there is time to kill today, And then one day you find ten years have got behind you, No one told you when to run, you missed the starting gun’’.
